How embarrassing, I went in and returned some mushy, rotten and smelly produce that I bought. I kept the bad stuff to the side in a bag over the weekend. Because I don’t live nearby I could not bring it back the same day. I was back in glenside this morning and thought I can make an easy exchange. I was accused of leaving it in the car or something. I said I kept the bad stuff to the side, so yeah maybe now it looks worse. I said but every tomatoe had mold, the red onions were rotten and even the cashier said it is true we had complaints but the manager or whoever he is said there is no way you just bought these onions. Overall not an easy exchange in fact I was shamed and made to feel like I am lying. Terrible customer service. They didn’t even give me an even exchange. They gave me 50% off the same items, except for the mushrooms they exchanged those. Plus usually the cashiers over charge by mistake. Produce junction you need to improve your customer service skills. You lost a customer that averaged about $30 in produce there every three days. I never once returned something. You lost over $200 a...
Read moreProduce Junction is basically a no-frills produce market and nothing else. There's a vast selection of fruit, veggies, plants and flowers (including gravestone pieces), all at reasonable prices. The selections are fresh, and most items are bagged already. There are lines for specific items, one for fruits, one for veggies, and one for plants. They are cash-only, so no credit or debit cards are accepted; however, there's an ATM inside if you need to get cash. Despite the social distancing, there is a good amount of people looking around. The staff are polite and friendly, so if you have questions, they'll be more than happy to help you get answers. This is my first time there, but it definitely won't...
Read moreThis used to be my "go to" produce store, but lately the prices have gone up and the quality has gone down. I can understand a price increase in this economy, but there is no excuse for the quality. After my last shopping trip there I threw out an entire bag of tomatoes and an entire bag of broccoli because they were bad a day after purchasing them. I also purchased roses and they wilted within two days. Purchased better roses at Acme for the exact same price and they thrived for almost two weeks. It's a shame. I used to buy multiple bunches of flowers from the produce junction and make my own arrangements for about $12. Now I have to spend $30 and they wilt so quickly. Will have to start...
