Blame the 9-year-old… and now we’re addicted.

So here’s how it happened: our 9-year-old was messing around on Google Maps like she was on a treasure hunt, and suddenly yells, “There’s an ice cream palace in Glenside!” Naturally, we assumed she was exaggerating. She wasn’t.

C.J.’s Sweet Palace is exactly what it sounds like—a royal court of frozen delights. The second we walked in, we were greeted like long-lost family (the kind that brings dessert to every function).

Here’s what we ended up with (don’t judge):

A single scoop of birthday cake & double scoop of blueberry cheesecake ice cream that tasted like someone blended up Grandma’s best Sunday dessert and turned it into frozen gold.

A cookies and cream milkshake that had me contemplating a second mortgage just to fund more visits.

One scoop of cotton candy ice cream (our daughter’s choice—she said it tasted like “a unicorn’s birthday party”)

And a strawberry, vanilla, chocolate sundae that honestly made us consider whether we were living right before this moment

The staff was so sweet and patient, even when we couldn’t decide and kept asking for “just one more sample.” The vibe was fun, welcoming, and totally family-approved.

ATTENTION if you have a sweet tooth 🦷 🍧🍨 I wanted to give a shoutout to a local Ice cream/water Ice shop in Glenside that I am super late to discovering! I discovered CJ’s Sweet Palace this week on Easton Road and OH my goodness! The Ice Cream is Bassetts and their water ice is all made in house and is delicious (passion fruit is 🤤). The best part was the customer service provided by the owners CJ himself and the lovely Ms. Janelle. They are partners in their business and welcomed my group into their shop with open arms, chatted with us about life and even checked up on us outside after serving us and even brought us water bottles because it was so hot outside. The product and service were absolutely above and beyond and I would highly recommend to the neighborhood especially if you have kiddos, great family...

Just moved into the neighborhood. My fiancé and I happen to be getting dinner next door and when we parked our car out front we notice the great decoration and wonderful smell of sweet treats. We both looked and saw a cute and vibrant ice cream shop. We were welcomed by both of the owners with open and warm arms.
