Jasmine Asian Bistro — Restaurant in Cheltenham Township

My husband and I are always trying different places to eat at and see which ones are the best and what not as we are still new in this area. So I called today to try this place for the very first time after I googled it and looked up the menu online. As I was trying to place my order, the lady that answered my call said they don't have anything with "tempura" so I said "Okay, will have to look at the menu again--" and before I get to finish my sentence, she put me on hold while taking another order in the background. I waited so patiently only to be told, they don't have anything I want from their menu online. So I said, "Okay what do you guys have then?" (I asked politely) She then yelled at me and told me, "I am busy here! Stop wasting my time! The menu online is not right!" then I said, "Ma'am, I am only trying to order food you don't have to yell at me!" Then she kept yelling so I said, "It's okay, I don't want to order anything from you anymore!" And hanged up! That lady was so rude, so unprofessional and no customer service skills at all!!! I understand she was busy, I waited patiently while I was being put on hold and been patient with her too even I hardly understand her! We will never order anything here ever and will not recommend anyone to eat at this place!! Our Father's Day celebration was a bit ruined because of this! Too bad we didn't even get to try their food! But oh well, no matter how good your food is, if you don't have any respect for customers it wouldn't...

Dumplings ALWAYS undercooked. Greasy lomein, overcooked chicken. We kept on giving the place one more chance. But, this last time, is the last time we ever go there or order for take out. In a previous incident, we dined in and the Dumplings were undercooked. The server was angry that we mentioned it (I was pregnant and cannot eat raw dough) he kept saying that's how they should be (but the dough was really raw). This time, we ordered take out and were told 20-25 minutes. Instead, when we got there 25 minutes later, we had to wait 30 more minutes! My small children were waiting in the car with my husband, crying. While I was waiting, 4 people that came in 15 minutes after me, got their orders before me. We ended up leaving without getting the food. For reference, we put in the order at 4:39pm and left at 6:33pm without food. Bad service, bad food. I guess it's on us for thinking of giving a local business one more chance...

Was just at Jasmine this evening, and the menu HAS NOT changed, so I am thinking the previous reviewer may be confusing this restaurant for another. I have frequented Jasmine consistently for a few years now. I have been to MANY Chinese restaurants throughout Bucks and MontCo, and so far - no one else has compared to Jasmine's consistency in providing delicious food, welcoming staff, impeccably clean restaurant, and attention to detail. Speaking of their attention to detail, since Jasmine is pick up only right now, their workers are wearing masks and gloves, but they have also fabricated a glass enclosure over their front door, complete with intercom, drawers to insert cash/receive change, and to receive food - in order to protect their workers and customers during this time of COVID.
