Something is very special when your son begs you to go back.

I can only say great things. First, it is very refreshing to have a shop with amazing people who want to help you grow your collection, or binder. The staff are very knowledgeable and courteous! Everyone takes their time to help and make sure you are taken care of.

When my son started getting Pokémon cards again in camp this picked up rapidly into trading. being that I, myself, don't have cards anymore my husband stated he held onto them. (Back in 1999) with thinking they wouldn't he worth much today. OH WAS HE WRONG! we got his binder valued and instead of the shop saying, "it's not worth much." We got the honest answer of "you better hold onto this and get everything in fresh holders." My son is so excited to share and show off his dad's binder ...but to start his own as well. He loves trading for cards on the bus with other friends and its a fun thought that so many years later this is still popular.

This is my son’s (age 9) favorite place. Shawn is so good with both the kids and the adults who come in - he keeps everything light and fun and safe. We come every other week for the Trade Days that he hosts on the weekends, which he doesn’t have to do but it’s clear he values his young customers and he goes out of his way to create a safe and fun atmosphere to foster their love of trading with each other. He is very fair and honest and willing to work with customers to make good deals for cards. Lots of single cards available to look through - both Pokemon and Magic the Gathering - and with a wide range of prices, including binders full of $2-$5 cards which helped my son get his start. As someone who has recently relocated just ten minutes away from Well Played, this has quickly become my home away from home. What makes a Local Game Store special is not just their inventory and knowledge (both of which are abundant), but also the community they build. At Well Played, these goals have not just been reached, but transcended in ways I have yet to see prior. Staffing is fantastic, and the regulars you will encounter on any given day are beyond kind regardless of your experience or knowledge level.
