I will NEVER return to this nail salon. This was my fourth appointment. The salon is conveniently located which is important given a busy work schedule. First time there the service was very good. Not friendly but on time, clean and my nails looked great, professionally done. Second time, both manicure and pedicure were rushed and sloppy, I do a terrible job on my nails but do better than that. A lot of the polish wound up on my skin. Third appt, I was bounced around to four different manicurists, also a rush job but decent. And I would not have returned except I loved the color, figured to give the place one more go and hoped to receive better service. Today I was taken on time. Pedicure first. The manicurist had finished removing polish from one foot and two toes on the other foot when a favored customer of hers walked into the shop. She stopped, ran to greet the customer and said to me sorry, someone else will have to take care of you. This woman has an appointment. Well, so did I, and mine was earlier. I waited for forty minutes, having finally taken my feet out of the still-swirling water about 20 minutes into the wait and suffering thru the chit chat between the manicurist and her favored client who were seated right next to me. Nobody who worked there came over to say anything as I waited, and when a new customer came in and was given service right away I gathered my things and walked out, after 40 minutes with old polish still on half of one foot. How rude. I’m in a customer service business. I would NEVER treat a customer that way. Obviously, I do not recommend this salon. There are plenty of others in the area. I've been looking for a great salon in Montgomery County since moving to Willow Grove from Doylestown a few years ago. I have only been to this salon twice, the first experience I had there was amazing! I got a gel/acrylic manicure and loved it so much I convinced my mom and sister to go. Since I hadn't been there in a while I decided to go back two weeks ago and my experience was horrible. First, the nail polish was painted on way too thick, with lots of bubbles once dried. The polish also started turning orangey and fading within a week of me getting my nails done. Something else that didn't really sit well with me though was witnessing an African American woman come into the shop looking to see if they were hiring and watching all but one nail tech pretend like they didn't really understand what she as asking. She stood for maybe only a few minutes asking if they knew how to get in touch the shop owner or if they knew if he was hiring and all of a sudden no one knew his name or number but knew for sure that he wasn't hiring. Although the owner may not be hiring it was very awkward watching them act confused and then go back to speaking almost perfect English once then woman left. A simple "Not at this time," would've sufficed rather than give the woman a difficult time. As someone that works in the service industry I take customer service very seriously and unfortunately I just didn't receive superior service here. I decided to give this nail salon 3 stars because they have some good qualities but then not so good. To begin with the positive, I really like how the owner puts a lot of thought into the look of the salon, the decor is very nice and the place is always clean. The staff are very personalable and professional (at times) which gives the customers a relaxed and comfortable feel. Most importantly they have a wide variety of colors in nail polish to choose from. I also like the way they do lashes, they are very good quality just for $20! Whenever I want to get my lashes done I go to glenside nails. Now the only thing I don't like about the salon is if you're not pleased with how your nails turned out they catch an attitude and try to convince you that "they look fine". Where as you may have polish all over your cuticles which looks very messy and unprofessional and you find yourself paying $50 for that! So that's where the problem comes in. You have had nice conversations with the lady while she worked on your nails and you we're relaxed and enjoying your time there just to be upset with the ending result of their work.
