Rally House at the Cherry Hill mall is full of great PA and NJ items. They have great selection.
However, their customer service is awful. I waited in line for 5 minutes while one of their attendants fixed their cap, completely unaware of the line of people waiting to pay and waiting for him.
Then, when purchasing a small item, I was forced to give an email address. They would not sell it to me without providing personal information. When I asked to speak to the manager, the person simply replied “no”. When I started asking other employees if they were the manager, a manager mysteriously showed up. When I complained about being forced to give personal information just to make a purchase, his reply was simply “I just work here, this is coming from corporate”.
A manager of a store replying “I just work here” to a customer complaint… beyond belief! The lack of basic understanding of customer service and attention is astounding.
What I was expecting was something like “Yes, sir. I apologize for the inconvenience. I know it’s irrational, however, on this occasion, I am forced to do this due to company policy. I understand you don’t want to give your personal information, I’m happy to put something different in the system for you.” — Acknowledge, apologize, and alternate solution… instead what I got was complete disinterest in their...
Read moreLots of stuff but thier policy on giving your email address when checking out is ridiculous. In the past I've just said no thank you and they put it through, now I'm told I won't be able to return items if I don't give my email address. When I left I checked thier website for the return policy and it says all you need is a receipt. Tried calling the store and it just had a message and hung up. Called thier customer service line and since I didn't want to put my email address in there it hung up. I'm done with Rally House, I don't need more junk email, I should be able to decline without being penalized like everywhere else. Edit: customer service called me back, according to them it is not thier policy to refuse returns for not giving your email address. You have the option to refuse to give your email address. Obviously there is a training issue with the employees at...
Read moreHorrible customer service. I ordered a shirt for family member's b'day. I rec'd an email saying it shipped 7/24. Recipient never received it. I contacted customer service and they said it never shipped and would send one out. Gift was then late. Recipient rec'd it and it is defective. The printing was worn on one side. So I contacted customer service again (Kate) and she said they had to send the defective item back. So now they are inconveniencing both of us for their mistakes. Product never shipped and once it did ship, it was defective! And they are making them return it. Rep did not care that it was a gift that was late (due to their mistake) and now the recipient has to return it. Horrible! I will never order from there again. Never will the family member whose gift was late...
