Read moreAs an individual who has been engrossed in the History of the American Mall and the Countercultural Impacts of the American Mall, I have advocated for going to numerous alive malls while they remain active, a move that drew me into the historic Cherry Hill Mall, formerly the Cherry Hill Center, a mall that opened to the general public in the Kennedy administration I. 1961 as a premium mall designated for the median American Consumer equipped with a diversity of stores for enjoyment from FYE and Old Navy to Macy's, Nordstrom, The Lego Store and Fan Treasures among other noticeable stores
I proceeded to come to this respective mall on a Sunday afternoon to squander time while waiting for the correct time to depart for Bordentown. The store diversity was par usual for other Philadelphia area malls, and also was equipped with its own food court that had initially not been prevalent back in the 1980s decade at the heyday of the mall, which may not be flattering, considering the general layout of the median mall seen since the opening of the Southdale Center in Edina, Minnesota in the Eisenhower Administration, but I found unique from the basis of the floor layout, which consisted of a small mezzanine on the first floor and a second floor that primarily served as a collection of entrances to the upper stores, which I found to be the most deceased aspect of the shopping center.
Despite the loss of a singular star being attributed to the second floor, this mall is still perpetual and appears to not be a shopping centre on life support, I will return again...
