HeungSeng Square — Local services in Chicago

Just a little heads up on this particular food court. It is a basement type location. When you get off the subway and head towards Chinatown you will run into a fire station. Behind the fire station is the square with shops and eateries. To the front of the fire station across the street there's a bunch of shops and eateries as well. The food court is located in the plaza behind the fire station. It takes some navigating to get to the front of the square but but once you go in you take the elevator on the stairs down. You'll find a variety of eateries here with restrooms available. Restroom keys are available at every vendor. I didn't take any photos. The ones on Google are pretty accurate but I wanted to drop a couple screenshots to help you get there. Member, this place is behind the fire station. This review is for the dumpling place in the way back by the teppyanki stall. It was the worst dumplings I've ever had & the worst customer service or lack of!!!

It is unbelievable how they treat their customers. Basically got ignored the whole time after placing an order at the kiosk. They forgot another order which took an extra 30 mins which they probably wouldn't have made if I did not say anything a second time! One lady was eating lunch with no care of making orders. There were only 2 of us waiting for our order.

The dumpling wrapper is so thick that I had to throw half the food away. Filling did not taste good, my friend got sick after eating one dumpling... I mistaken this place for the dumplings...

This does feel like you are in another country and reminded me of South Korea, Malaysia or Singapore.... 25 years ago. Today the food courts in those places are much nicer than this. The entry way was dirty, elevator didn't work, paint was peeling and the signage was poor. Downstairs where the food court is was just as dirty, tables are old and worn with a hodge podge of uncomfortable chairs to include metal folding chairs like with a card table.
