I had the pleasure of trying Bliss Bowls Acai for the first time yesterday, and I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about my experience. From the moment I walked in, I was warmly greeted by the owner, who immediately made me feel welcome. We quickly discovered that we shared a common bond through our Middle Eastern roots, and the conversation that followed was so genuine and uplifting—it set the tone for the entire visit.
The setup of Bliss Bowls Acai is absolutely beautiful. The environment is fresh, clean, and thoughtfully designed, creating such an inviting atmosphere. Every detail reflected the care and passion that the owner and her family have poured into their business.
As for the acai bowls themselves—truly outstanding. The ingredients were incredibly fresh, from the fruits to every topping. You could taste the quality and love in every bite. It is clear that only the best is selected for their customers.
It is the perfect spot for a delicious and healthy breakfast, a refreshing lunch, or even just a light snack throughout the day. It’s also a charming place to hang out and visit with friends or family, offering not only nourishing food but a warm and inviting atmosphere. Whether you are looking for a peaceful spot to start your morning or a cute place to gather and relax, this gem truly has it all
I am so grateful to have found this little gem. I could not give a higher recommendation to both the shop and the wonderful people behind it. Bliss Bowls Acai is a must-visit, and I am already looking forward...
Read moreEdit: GET YOUR RECIEPT Second time coming, second time getting the WRONG size! This time I paid for a large and got a regular sized with the top on so I couldn't discern the size without asking. Thankfully I did and was told it was regular and that's what I ordered...until I showed my receipt! How difficult is it to take orders properly? I was instead given 2 smalls of Dubai chocolate and the pistachio was a paste so thick you need strength to scoop! Last time it was liquidy. What gives? It was pretty gross and messed up the bowls. Def avoiding that bowl and if the mix up with size/ordering happens again I will go elsewhere. Also there was an overwhelming chemical smell this time. Biscoff bowl is overrated. 2 bananas take up much of the bowl and barely any biscoff spread. It doesnt complement the acai.
Old review: Excellent bowls, tiny place for 6 people maybe and dirty tables with no bathroom. staff may get sizing wrong and more importantly, Why is there an 11.25% "sales tax" on my bill? Chicago is 10.25%! Is it a secret service charge that they then request tip on top of? I have never once had a sales tax beyond that here in the city. I need this resolved or won't be returning
Edit: An effort to contact me directly should be made if I bill is off. A reply is insufficient. And if there is some new law there should be a sign at the register bc I've never...
Read moreI went to Bliss Bowls in the fall last year for the first time. I had never tried an acai bowl prior to coming here, and after my experience in the shop, I am never going anywhere else. The atmosphere was so wonderful; from the amazing and nicely decorated seating, beautiful backdrop, and pristine display of bowls, everything made my experience 100/10. I know this may seem like an exaggeration, but you just have to go here for yourself!! For my aesthetic instagramers, this is the spot for you! The swirls on every bowl were so perfect, and with the great selection of topping available, it made it even better. If the bowl and place weren't enough on their own for a beautiful picture, the owner, Maysa, is SUPER kind and will even tell you the angle to take the best photo. Maysa and everyone who work at Bliss are truly some of the most genuine people I have ever met. Whenever I walk in, it's like being greeted by a childhood friend, or a family member who's looking out for you. I know every conversation I have here is meaningful, and that not only am I getting an acai bowl, but my pick-me-up for the day. I could rave on about how much I love the place, the food, and the workers, but I might have to publish a thesis if I do so.
In short, if you're in Chicago, DEFINITELY STOP BY HERE! You won't...
