WORST SERVICE IVE EVER EXPERIENCED. My family and I got here at 9:15pm (they close at 10pm) and they cut the line off at 9:15pm… which already crazy, they did not run out they simply just wanted to make their last order by 10 (not how food service works as someone who has worked in food) but not even the worst part. The line got cut RIGHT IN FRONT of us, so we were upset but left since they claimed the people in front were the last ones. Then we saw people behind us stayed in the line so we asked the host if he was going to let him in, and he said no. (host curly hair mullet) A few minutes later he let them in so he let us in too, but they had been given menus even though they were “cut off” and behind us in line. We were not given menus so they told us we could only order merch but the people who were also cut off got menus. We brought this up to the host who we previously spoke to and now he claims he “doesn’t remember “ who he cut off at???? We asked for the manager in hopes this place had better management, however far from the truth. We spoke to Asia first and she acknowledged she wasn’t there so she doesn’t know, but then asked us “what do you want me to do about it?” hello?? you’re the manager… we just wanted to order our food. She insists she cannot do anything even after we told her we could prove we were there before those people and she still had no sympathy. we asked for her manager since she was not helping, her manager comes out, I do not know her name but she was a shorter asian woman with blonde hair. She heard us out and asked what we were going to order, just to tell us never mind the kitchen is closed…mind you it’s 9:40p at this point with 1 person in front of us to order. The lady in front of us also did not have a menu, but heard about our situation and picked up a menu off the desk and WENT TO ORDER. AND THEY LEFT HER. like cmonnn!!! we also told this to the manager and she still would not let us order. she offered cookies and a discount on food if we came back tomorrow but after the way they treated us and how TERRIBLY management handled that whole situation, we will not be coming back. As someone who has worked in both food and corporate, this was absolutely terrible management on their part and everyone needs retraining on how to to deal with customers and making things right when the company is in the wrong cause obviously they did not receive this training. The whole staff kept saying I know it’s not fair but idk what to do about it… if we are telling you something unfair that happens under your company and with your employees, it is up to the manager to make it right, not tell us that it’s a bad situation but there’s nothing they can do. Oh and having younger employees does not excuse you from making food at 9:40pm that is not how food service works. I have never experienced this type of inconsiderate service in my life. ...
Read moreI was thrilled to visit Nutella Café because I love crepes, fruit, and chocolate - and this place promises all of that. The vibe is fun and the branding is adorable, but be aware that prices are on the higher side considering the portion sizes.
One crepe with three toppings and a drink wasn't enough to be filling, which was a letdown. That said, the crepe was tasty, and the berries were fresh. I wouldn't recommend the hazelnut topping, though - it's crushed very finely and doesn't add much flavor.

This place is fun to visit once, especially if you’re a Nutella lover. The branding is on point and the quality is decent, but the prices are very high for what you actually get. Even a light order with one dessert and one drink can easily reach $25-35.
Also, I want to say a huge thank you for listing the calories on the menu - it’s especially valuable in a place where you want to...
Read moreI really really want to give this a higher rating, because I have such a sweet tooth, and will go to extreme lengths to satisfy it, including walking over a mile from my hotel and waiting in a 45+ min line, which is exactly what I did to finally experience this spot!
I have been to Chicago several times now and wanting to come here but every time, it's been so busy, lines 2-3 blocks or longer. But I committed to crossing this off the list on this trip and walked over on a Friday around lunch time (I definitely should have gone off peak but it just didn't work out with my schedule- I can only imagine the wait on a weekend though...)
I'm glad it wasn't super cold out and that I had a book to entertain myself while I waited! Honestly, the line did move a lot faster than expected, so I was probably outside for 40ish mins and then inside another 10-15 before placing my order.
I knew I probably wouldn't be back again any time soon, so I went with a nutella overload- crepe with banana/strawaberry slices, nutella whipped cream, nutella gelato and an espresso nutella shot (with a nutella biscuit). After palcing my order, I was given a table marker and found a small two-top where I waited maybe 10 miins or so for my plate to come out.
Like I said, I am a sucker for sweets, and I did enjoy my dish- the espresso shot washed it down nicely. But value wise (both time and money), I would say it wasn't worth it. I very happy I can cross it off the list, but I'm not sure I would ever wait nearly an hour again for a very overpriced dessert/snack. I think the other thing that was a bit missing for me was just the lack of personal touch/interaction here - it is, and feels, very gimmicky, but I thin that can still be done in a hospitable, more personalizing or...
