This location features an assortment of crumb bum staff who possess incorrect knowledge of the storeās various policies and have little knowledge of customer rapport and business acumen.
On February 22nd, I purchased a Midland Weather Radio online for in-store pick up and was handed a box from UPS when I arrived on February 23rd. When I asked the chick at the counter about the storeās return policy, I was informed that it was ā30 days with receipt.ā
Since Staples refuses to properly vet their products or clue themselves into the poor ratings for some of the merchandise they sell, I returned to an alternate location on March 9th and was refused a refund ādue to having the item for more then 14 daysā even though the Midland Weather Radio was defective on arrival.
When I called the location on Wabash, some kid answered the phone and insisted on trying to cut me off. No responsibility was taken for the misinformation this store provided me with, and I was told to contact Midland about āarranging a warrantyā, āsince I hadnāt purchased Stapleās extended warranty.ā After refusing to contact Midland since Midland charges their customers for the cost of shipping and return shipping on warranty claims, I was told to contact Stapleās customer service line.
After 25 minutes on the phone with customer service, I was told Iād have to print a return label and drop this radio off at a UPS, then wait for the warehouse to receive it before another 5-10 business days go by prior to being issued a refund for merchandise that was defective on arrival.
I take pride in saying Iāll never spend another dime with this company and Iād advise others to consider...

There are two cashiers and I went up to them to ask where to do returns and before I even say a word, the female cashier doesnāt even look at me for a second yells āOver thereā. So I clarify I have a return to make and she gets immediately annoyed and yells once again āOver thereā.
I walk to the empty counter to see a man working on a printer behind the counter and he says to wait for him there with my return item. He says āIāll be with you in about 10-15 minutes.ā He proceeds to stand in front of me and use the printer. After a few minutes I turn around and see the store is empty and the cashiers are standing at the registers talking. I ask him if anyone else can help me, I have one item to return and have the barcode ready. He says no and that they are short staffed and if I donāt want to be patient I can leave and come back another time. I would understand if the store was actually busy, but considering I was one of the only customers in the whole store and the gentleman was standing right in front of me telling me I had to wait up to 15 minutes for a return that took about 45 seconds to complete was absolute nonsense. The lady who work downstairs was extremely rude and talking to them so loud. Saying they need a appointment and she doesnāt take walk ins. I then ask another worker who was extremely helpful and he told us he would take care of us. When we went downstairs she was loud and rude also to be and yell to stand under the sign. The male worker came downstairs and she talk to him rude as well. Telling him printer didnāt work and he told her he change the film himself . She was so upset he was trying to help us.
