Chicago SUP — Local services in Chicago

I LOVE THEM! This is where I learned to SUP back in 2012! The staff has always been kind and helpful! I haven't SUP'ed in a few years, I had a Groupon that hadn't been used. Though they weren't able to honor it exactly this year (due to Covid, only Diversey was open and the Groupon was for the beachfront), they were able to offer a BOGO and I took advantage of it! I had never been to the Diversey Harbor location to SUP, so was not sure what to expect. The young men that day were great! Kind, polite and very helpful. Being on the harbour was different, but made for a very nice calming and "safe" SUP experience! the weather was magnificent and there were a good amount of SUP-ers so weren't "alone" on the water but it wasn't too crowded! I give up. I was really excited to explore Chicago SUP and planned to buy an unlimited package. Rotten customer service. I was chastised for buying a service they weren't offering (then why is the web link active?) After I was placed on hold and then disconnected, I called back only to be chastised again that they were too busy to talk to me. Despite my initial experience, I rented a board, attempted to drive to their location and couldn't find it. I called again and was told to go to their website and Google the location (I was driving). No help with landmarks or where to park. I tried to do as I was told and after wandering aimlessly for an hour, I gave up and went home. I had an amazing experience with Chicago Sup. They were very professional and they were a pleasure to deal with. I was lucky enough to do the wake surfing experience and had a great time. I was able to drop the rope and surf for a long time. The boat they had was perfect and I was able to get unbelievable surf-able wake. The instructions they gave were very clear and helpful. You could tell that they were committed to making me better and it was genuine. They really cared and I would definitely recommend going out with Chicago Sup.
