I typically don’t write reviews but I should give a fair warning to those interested in dining here. Went with a group of friends to have lunch and saw the high ratings and decided to pick this place. Major mistake. Our first sign was that the owner made us seat ourselves by saying “pick wherever you wanna sit” and waved his hand at us as if we were bothering him. We sat down and finally got the menus. On Google it says this place has Thai cuisine as well as sushi. There was no sushi on the menu that was given to us so we decide to play it safe by getting crab rangoons as a starter. These were not “crab rangoons”. There was no crab, it was straight cream cheese. We knew by then that we made a mistake by coming here. We ordered chicken teriyaki and sweet and sour soup. When you pay $17 per person, you expect the food to at least be cooked right? Not at this place. We get our food and it was cold. The only thing warm was the teriyaki sauce that was dumped over the food. The lettuce was unwashed and clearly old, the carrots were barely cooked and cold, the broccoli was raw but was clearly warmed in the microwave and the chicken or should I say chicken slabs were cold to the touch. The sauce was at room temperature and the rice was old and overcooked. The waiter was rude to us and did not come to check in at all during our dining experience. Only thing that was done was him filling up our waters. The final blow was when we were paying for the food. The owner comes up and tells us each our totals. He then proceeds to watch us intensely to see what tip we leave. 2 of us decided to tip due to pressure and the other 2 decided to not tip due to the horrible service and food that was provided. (Note: we all left the food as if it was never touched). The owner clearly got upset with this as he storms off and only brings those 2 their receipts and slam them on the table and yelled at us for not leaving a tip and then proceeded to curse at us under his breath. Sir, the food was not good, and overall your attitude was a shocker. I’ve never had that bad of an experience especially with the owner of the place. I recommend that the owner should learn how to be respectful to his customers instead of acting out the way he did. Overall, save your money and tastebuds, McDonald’s would be better...
Read moreI used to frequent Tiparos when this was closer to home. Yesterday I decided to bring new people and it was disappointing. It used to be packed with people on a Sunday lunch time and The weather was fine but here’s why today my rating went down from 5 stars to 1 star: a) the waitress was terribly rude b) I asked for her to leave us one menu as we might order dessert or coffee but she said just ask for it again later c) our table set up as other tables of four only had a set up for two people AND none of the folded cutlery had a knife in them just a fork and a flimsy tissue. We had to be creative in finding a way to eat properly and she didn’t even see how we were struggling though we were the only customers there for the entire hour or so d) our order was very easy and I even told her that I was the only one person having the crazy noodles while the rest decided on having chicken phad Thai. Yet upon delivery she didn’t have a clue who was having what. One of the plates actually had a noticeable chip that I didn’t bother to complain about because thankfully that doesn’t come with the order e) she didn’t suggest drinks or appetizers, or desserts. If she was truly concerned about our dining experience she would have the initiative to bring out her menu as we had previously requested for f) so we just decided to have coffee. Guess what? THERE WAS NO HOT COFFEE though it wasn’t fully Spring yet! She said ‘We only have cold coffee. Do you want it or not? We had no choice. The cold coffee was strong and half filled with ice. g) What’s worse is she brought our check together with the coffee without me even asking for it yet. Feels like she’s ready to go home. Without asking she placed the check at the center of the table instead of waiting for us to ask for it. She didn’t even take the hint that I might have been the host since I was the one person who asked our party to be seated and who spoke for the group to order h) I grabbed the check immediately from the center of the table and walked to her to avoid any further mishaps. I paid her in cash plus tip. She didn’t deserve any tip for extremely poor service but she demanded 15%. I gave her a little over 10% because she said she was working alone. Here’s another catch. She didn’t give me a receipt that I fully...
Read moreI feel bad writing a poor review about a local restaurant, but the food here is not worth the price they charge for it. AT. ALL. I ordered pad khee mao and it was VERY VERY over cooked noodles, microwaved frozen veggies, small defrosted frozen shrimp and ZERO sauce or seasoning. I'm almost wondering if they just flat out forgot the sauce/seasoning? It had absolutely no flavor.
My boyfriend's chicken pad Thai was made with over cooked spaghetti pasta - NOT rice noodles as it is traditionally prepared. Woefully under seasoned with chunks of tofu that threw us off. I didn't try the chicken since it looked inedible. My boyfriend stopped eating this after a few bites due to how bad it was.
The chicken egg rolls were passable at best, but greasy and - again - NO FLAVOR. Our meal was $50 and it tasted like a frozen Healthy Choice meal (it was worse than a Lean Cuisine lol).
I'm sorry to say this was probably the worst Thai meal I have ever had in my life. There are enough Thai restaurants in the area to find...
