KnockOut Charters — Local services in Chicago

Third time’s a charm is often said but every time has been a charm with KnockOut Charters. We contacted Chris on short notice and booked a late afternoon trip for July 3. He arranged free parking and then met us at the dock and helped us board. As with our previous trips, ice, refrigeration, bottled water, napkins, plates, cups, silverware, etc. were provided so all we had to bring was food and drinks. We departed at 4:30pm and, after passing through the locks, cruised on the Chicago River for about an hour. This was the first time for one of our sons and he kept commenting on the amazing views. Our next stop was the Playpen, where we swam and floated on a large water mat (also included) and then snacked and took in the incredible views of the skyline. We wrapped up around 7:30pm and returned to the dock. The boat was very clean and roomy and I spent a lot of time on the fly bridge (my favorite part of this boat). What made this trip special was that it provided a wonderful escape from what was an incredibly difficult and stressful month for our family. Thank you to Chris and the crew for some very needed relaxing family time. This business is a gem, providing top notch service and putting their customers first. We had a perfect day on our charter with Knock Out Charters!! When there was a last-minute scheduling change for one of our guests, Capt. Chris worked some magic and changed our date. Two of us were from Florida and the three others were from Chicago. We told Chris what we wanted,...a fun party atmosphere with time to chill out. The floats were ready for us (we Floridians did not go in the water...too cold for us, even in July!). Capt. Nick was the perfect mix of helpful yet unobtrusive. We told him we wanted to go the long way to our destination, The Playpen (an area of the lake). Most of us climbed to the bow to stretch out on the padded section. It was bumpy enough to give us an adventure, especially since a few of our party had never been on a boat before. We hung on, had adult beverages and laughed and laughed. Capt. Nick made sure to go only as fast as to give us a fun ride. When at The Playpen, we chilled on the bow, snacked on our veggie tray, ate the lunches we brought, some dared to go into the water and play on the floats. It was everything I had imagined. We chartered the boat for four hours and that was an ideal amount of time. We took pictures and made memories to last a lifetime!! I would DEFINITELY book a...

My clients and I truly enjoyed our charter with Knock Out Charters! Thank you so much for all of your hard work and efforts to making our day so truly wonderful! I must say, the weather could not have been more perfect; the sky was blue, and the waves were (more or less) rolling. Regrettably, I discovered that such activity is not greatly conducive to my comfort; I spent most of the cruise lying flat on the bunk inside, quite miserable. I didn't know I was susceptible to motion-sickness. Oh, wow! I must commend Molly for taking such good care of us (especially my clients) during our charter; she was absolutely helpful in every possible way, and was pleasant, cheerful, and positively good-natured throughout. I did not interact very much with Captain John (see previously paragraph) but he is an excellent skipper and handled the boat beautifully.
