Disappointing Experience at Luxura South Loop

I recently went to Luxura South Loop for my regular Botox treatment, and unfortunately, I’m very disappointed with how the service was conducted. Out of the four clinics I’ve visited previously in Chicago and abroad, this one was by far the most expensive, and the results were the most uneven.

I’ve had Botox before with the same amount of units at clinics that were farther from home, so I chose Luxura because it was more convenient and recommended by a friend. However, after my first appointment, I immediately noticed that my forehead looked uneven. There was a protuberant area on the bottom side, as most of the units seemed to have been applied only to the top part of my forehead. Additionally, my right eyebrow was completely missed—it didn’t get any Botox at all. I remember thinking it was strange at the time but didn’t say anything, assuming the practitioner knew best.

Mistakes can happen, but in this case, I felt that I was essentially forced to return for touch-ups, which was frustrating. I wasn’t happy with the results, especially given the high cost of the treatment.

When I went in for the touch-up appointment, I explained my concerns and mentioned that, due to these issues, I didn’t feel comfortable paying for the touch-ups. The practitioner reassured me that I wouldn’t have to pay, as the touch-ups were included in the overall treatment. However, when I went to check out, I was told I owed an additional $105 for 7 extra units, despite the fact that I had been told otherwise. While the staff was friendly and the clinic itself was nice, I left feeling taken advantage of.

For context, my previous Botox treatment in Chicago cost $490 for 42 units, in early 2024. At Luxura, I initially paid $610 for 41 units, and then $105 for the additional 7 units, which I had already expressed discomfort about paying for.

Overall, while I appreciated the clinic’s environment and the friendly staff, I was extremely dissatisfied with the treatment and the way the situation...

From start to finish, I was blown away by the service! Therese and Julie were very knowledgeable and professional but still made the visit fun. I was nervous to get such an intense treatment but was treated with such care, it ended up being a great experience. The downtime was basically non-existent (the internet says 4-7 days) so I was back to work on day two. The results were phenomenal! It took years off my face, got rid of all of the sun damage that I've acquired over the years, and my skin was literally glowing.  I was so impressed with the results, I decided to go back and get a thread lift (in this case, a Silhouette Instalift ) that I'd been wanting for 5 years or so but was scared to get due to hearing stories about long down times, facial swelling, pain, etc.  Again, they took amazing care of me and made sure that I was properly numbed up before starting. I felt zero pain AND I had no swelling, bruising, and only a small amount of pain that could easily be controlled with Tylenol. The procedure did exactly what I wanted it to and my cheeks are back in their original position! I can't speak highly enough of Luxura and am excited to go back to get their Coolsculpt treatments for my chin and neck and to try their IV clinic. I also love their skin care line ZO. The growth factor serum and retinol based skin cream feels like I’m getting a facial every night. Parking was plentiful and free as well so I always got a spot right in front. I showed up to my appointment out of breath, sweaty and a few minutes late. Instead of rushing me, Therese offered me water, sat me down and gave me a fan.

I had booked the diamond facial, but after looking at my face Therese let me know why she didn't feel like that facial would get me the results I wanted. Instead she took the time to walk me through some alterative options (at the same price point), that would get me better results.

AND I GOT THE RESULTS!!

I am 24 hours post facial and it's like I have a new face.

I've been really struggling with some adult acne that popped up this summer and I can't seem to rid myself of. My face immediately is so much less red, less inflamed and the acne is visibly reduced.

I will 100% be back and may even budget for the monthly package because it's a really good deal.
