I have a martParc Pass for reduced parking due to working inside of the merchandise mart, and when I went to scan my pass the machine did not work. No one was around to help me fix the scanner and because of this, I had to just get a regular ticket because there was a line behind me. I figured someone would be able to help me later with this when I went to pay. Upon arriving at the front desk after work, there was no one available to help. I waited 10 minutes and called the assistance phone number where no one picked up either. Very frustrated I paid the $50 for day parking because I was already late to a meeting.
I went back to the front desk later that week and asked the manager for a refund, to which I was told there is not way to do that and I am out of luck. I am very mad about this situation because no one was available to help while I was experiencing this issue and now I am told there is nothing that can be done to fix it.
