Gave this place a second chance and wow- definitely shouldn't have. They seem to do pop ups frequently, first time we came was during their Christmas pop up. Tickets were already pricey just to get in, but we thought it was worth it because of how fun and festive it looked. We bought the tickets and made reservations. As soon as we came, there was a long line to check in. Everything was kind of unorganized, and it definitely took awhile to get us seated. Once we were, it took forever for the waitress to come. Keep in mind, online it says you can reserve a table for up to an hour. I understand it was a busy time, and definitely try to be reasonable in these cases, but it LITERALLY almost took an hour to even get 1 round of drinks. And during this time period we did speak up about it, as waitresses walked by we asked 3 separate times if a waitress will be with us soon for our order. And not even in a pushy way, we waited awhile before asking again each time because we didn't want to be rude either. After we did get the drinks, it took another 25 minutes roughly for the waitress to check in again, we already were done with them and honestly just wanted the check so we could leave because the wait time was too long. ANYWAYS I saw this new pop up, recently for Wonderland, and they're hosting love island watch parties. I figured for my birthday that'd be pretty cool, and while we did have a bad experience before, maybe things would be different because we're going on a week day, maybe more staff, who knows. Nope, this is somehow worse, because I can't even excuse it as for being busy, it's just straight unprofessionalism. We booked for 7:45, we did come a few minutes late, like maybe arrived at 7:48, however online they have a 15 min grace period. Anyways there was a line to check in, I overhear the woman in front of me being told they had to give up her reservation, and asked if she could sit at the bar. By the time we talk with the hostess, she goes "so actually we have a 10 minute grace period here and we had to give your table-" I literally show my phone with the reservation, and time, saying "oh, but it's only been 5 minutes. We booked for 7:45, it's 7:50." She pauses, and says "oh" "okay well unfortunately there's no tables, do you mind sitting at the bar? Or we could sit you at our sister restaurant (Moe's Cantina) next door, they are hosting love island as well" which okay at least we got a table there instead. In fact they were super nice there, so that's a blessing in disguise honestly lol. But the fact you would literally lie to my face about the grace period- is frustrating. Okay maybe while it says online there's 15 minute grace period, and could be incorrect. Saying now it's 10, but it's only been 5 minutes??? What's the point of making reservations if you give up everyone's tables. The real cherry on top is the fact they marked me as a no-show on OpenTable, marking it against me. (OpenTable did resolve this later with them but is still a bit of a slap in the face, the fact they claimed that in the first place.) Honestly seems like they just like the cash grab of being trendy with new decor while the actual...

I was invited to Treehouse Chicago’s Valentine’s influencer event with my boyfriend, and it was an excellent experience—great service, fun atmosphere, and an overall 10/10 night. I even encouraged others to visit.

Excited to return for their Emerald City experience, I brought a friend. Like before, we received free drink tickets, and throughout the night, multiple staff members, including a man claiming to be the manager, gave us additional tickets.

When it came time to pay, the same manager suddenly questioned our bill, unaware that other staff members had also comped our drinks. He refused to listen to us or acknowledge the actions of the other staff, dismissed the waitress, and made up a policy on the spot about free drink limits—despite being the one who had given us tickets. He insisted we pay for the drinks that were comped by everyone but him. The situation only calmed down after another manager stepped in to clarify, but we were still overcharged for the pizza, which I’ve seen other reviews mention as a common issue.

What stood out most was that this manager never approached my boyfriend and me with free drinks during my first visit—only when I was there with another woman. The whole situation felt uncomfortable, as it seemed like he was trying to take advantage of us.

I will never be returning. Instead of having a manager who picks and chooses who to impress, they should hire someone who actually understands customer service. The reason I’m writing this review is because the issue wasn’t resolved when we walked away. Even the senior manager was there but there was a lack of conversation or intervention from everyone that enabled this inappropriate behavior. A "manager" arguing with clients and his own staff because he wanted to be the only man who comped our drinks is simply unacceptable and should never happen to anyone. I sincerely hope they address this behavior, so it doesn’t happen again.

If you're a woman, be careful of the male manager and always double-check your bill. This issue has been mentioned in multiple reviews, and it’s clear they haven’t addressed it. Beautiful place, really nice staff, good marketing, they can...

never ever go to this place. it's awful!!! I'm visiting Chicago with my girlfriend for my birthday and my brother invited me out for a drink, we were near this place and unfortunately we went. It has been the worst decision and the worst birthday first the prices are a joke $400 for a bottle of whiskey 12 years old however we did not care the fact was that the music was always the same 2 supposed DJs and the whole night it was the same 5 songs . The service is terrible, after serving us the bottle the waitress never returned, it was a total disaster trying to order something else. Disgusting food, Terrible atmosphere. a lot of “activity” in the place at one point I felt like I was in the ghetto and finally when I was leaving I saw how a security guy was extorting people on the way out and how they mistreated a boy, my girlfriend, with a double coat because of the cold and then One of these idiots from security asked me for money because according to him she was hiding something, I told him no and then I demanded that he let me continue on my way. He didn't allow us to continue, then this guy arrived and dared to touch my girlfriend. This place is full of stupid and disrespectful people, this guy dared to put his hand on my girlfriend and consequently on me of course when I didn't allow it, taking advantage of his position as security of this place, they are not professional at all, they act like gang members several of them came at me, I felt terribly scared. If you read all the bad reviews you can realize that they always do this type of thing. Please, for your safety, do not go...

Living in Chicago all my life, this is by far the WORST place in Chicago. Save your time, energy, and money and DO NOT COME HERE. I was treated with unnecessary aggression, something I’ve never experienced before. I was celebrating St. Patty's Day with my wristband, bar crawling like everyone else, and honestly, I only wanted to use their restroom. After waiting in line for an hour, we were told to leave — no explanation, no reason. Immediately, I felt like I was being treated unjustly, so I started recording (WHICH I AM FULLY WITHIN MY RIGHT TO DO). I have video proof of the security guard snatching my phone out of my hands — MY PROPERTY — because I was recording them. Because they knew were doing something wrong and were guilty.. She was given orders to treat us unfairly by a white individual. Staff stood by, complicit, even giving her orders to treat us unfairly. She was so aggressive, her own coworkers had to remove her.... I will never return here, nor will I spend a single penny at this place. There are countless better options in Chicago — go literally anywhere else.
