I do NOT recommend this company. There were several red flags from the start, including multiple typos in their communication, google voice number, and very limited details provided about the boat we were booking. I reserved a boat online to celebrate a graduation milestone, and it was abruptly canceled the day beforeā€”via text message only. No one called to explain the situation, and no accommodation was offered for the late cancellation. When I called to follow up, the person who answered couldnā€™t provide any information about the cancellation or my refund. This completely ruined the experience. The boat day was the main event of our trip, and my friends and Iā€”visiting from Texasā€”never got the chance to enjoy it. In addition, no email was sent with cancellation and I received an insensitive and automated email sayingā€œ Thanks for choosing The Chicago Captain! We hope you had a great time on the lake with us. and can you leave a review and book again next time you in Chicago.ā€

Captain Paul was great. From the beginning communication was super helpful. While initially we had to reschedule due to weather, Captain Paul communicated this and chose a plan that would ensure we had fun. He also was willing to accommodate time changes due to weather issues a second time around. Day of the boat ride, he had a few fun facts about the area/ playpen. You are supplied all you may need including Bluetooth, fridge, and an ice chest. The lily pad was super helpful in keeping us afloat. I 100% recommend taking a boat ride with the Chicago Captain. It was an amazing time with friends in an environment where I felt safe and...

BOOK THIS BOAT! Not only was Trevor super easy to work with when booking, but his dad, Paul, was our Captain, and he truly made the day for us. Perfectly communicative, allowed us to have our private time but then hilarious and fun to engage with one-on-one. He even pulled out his guitar to serenade us at one point. And then when my friend dropped her phone in the lake he was the first to rip off his shirt to dive in and try and find it. ABOVE AND BEYOND service. Can not recommend this boat more. The Heli Good Time is now going to be an annual summer...
