Boat Drinks Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Chicago

After ordering $500+ worth of food for a youth group, our group was missing one order.

We asked the manager to come speak to the table and she never came. I proceeded to go to the ordering counter and ask about my food for the 7th time, over 90 minutes later. At this point the kitchen manager came out- I was explaining how unorderly everything was -when the woman pictured started shouting and interrupting- stating that I couldn’t talk about her when she was sitting right there. I told her she had every opportunity to speak and chose not to fix the situation.

The lady pictured- handled herself aggressively and egregiously on our first and only interaction. She blatantly lied and said she attempted to talk to our table when in reality she never left her stool. She was loud, obnoxious, and mistreated a group of 20+ children. I personally witnessed her mock and bad mouth our entire group - which we recorded.

When questioned why there wasn’t a system in place to check which ordered have been brought out- she stated “??? Probably just didn’t want to do it but there’s tablet on the wall where they check off each order.”

She refused to provide the contact info for the restaurant owner/manager.

To make up for her rude behavior; the kitchen manager made sure the one meal we didn’t receive was not added to our bill. We also received a slab of poorly made ribs.

I would not recommend this establishment. all of the individuals pictured should be fired.

I was dropping someone off at Northerly Island when I decided to stop in for a bite. There was a live band and the guys working behind the bar/grill were super friendly and helpful. I ordered a polish because I was in a rush but the cook said it would be close to 15 minutes and I asked what was ready right now. I opted for a brisket sandwich and it did not disappoint. The coleslaw was so good and the pickle was nice and crunchy! I’m glad the beautiful man with dreads gave me a fork because I was trying to drive and eat at the same time! So good 😋

I paid with a card and wanted to tip but I was on the other side of the card reader so wasn’t given the option to. Imma definitely come again, bring some friends and give a double tip. These guys are great with awesome customer service. (PS. Where do we park and how much is it?)

Only downside are the bathrooms. I know it’s by the lake, and probably not maintained by the bar, but wish the park district or whoever maintains the bathrooms would do so! Was...

If you're looking for fine dining this isn't it. But what it does fall under is a casual, harbor side food stand/bar with plenty of decent places to sit on the patio or picnic tables and watch everything happening around on the water and in the city. The food is decently priced and gets carried to your table in a to-go box. Service at the bar was quick, and the delivery to the patio table was pleasant. The Mahi sandwich was very good, grilled to perfection and with quality toppings. The fries were crisp, and it was a good deal with slaw, a pickle, and the box packed with food. There's good drink selection, but they are way overpriced. However, I guess that's to be expected for the nice location, and live music playing in the evenings. I would return to try more items...
