MY Oriental Market — Local services in Chico

I recently moved to Chico from Sacramento. In Sac asian markets have really taken off within the last ten years. Being someone who was raised there though, MNY Oriental market takes me back to when I was a child. When the local asian market was just a small shop that was crammed with amazing ingredients that are hard to find and amazingly priced. Its nostalgic but definitely a positive outlook on this place. I hope they can grow and expand in the future. With that said... The selection at this place is incomparable to others when you are looking for asian ingredients in the area. This place is alright. The family is nice, but the guy at the register is a perv. He seems helpful to only women and he's always staring at my chest when im paying at the counter. Gives me the creeps tbh. I have a love/hate feeling about this place. Some rare local items for good prices and other items way overpriced for no reason. Kinda sneaky with no price tags or labels. You better ask before you pay and get a receipt before they sneak an extra item without you knowing. I also noticed how they sell old stuff that are almost rotten and make into the pepper sauce/pickled veggies. My stuff grew mold in it after a couple of days.
