Kind of sad when a business faith is dictated by reviews dating years and years ago. Kind of like herpes, if I may, they never seem to disappear, specially when said reviews are detrimental and no longer apply to the present. Finally I went to this poorly rated establishment for their Taco Tuesday Special at $1.25 each. I should add that previously someone brought to our place the Monday Special, Burger night, which at this day and age must admit was unbeatable and rather tasty. The kind of special that defies all odds. Also, previously as well had their Wednesday Chicken Wings Special. That one, sadly, a fiasco. Super dry wings, devoid of all appeal, but for the money the quantity was decent. Anywho, Tackle Box simply rocks, and from the looks it distinguished itself as a truly unique scene. Staff reeked of good manners and friendly demeanor, which I must confess, truly appreciate. The shower singer in me wanted to get up on their stage and make a fool out of myself. The square footage truly mind altering, and the one question nagging me was: why the few and not so good comments? The bar alone is quite a sight! Tacos: small but loaded, easy to devour but please no less than 6, or will wish it had been. Salsa, meats, sauce, not shabby at all. Staff, as happily mentioned, nice as can be. Restroom particularly clean and originally decorated. Heard Happy Hour beers run for $4 a piece? If so, it would take quite a few to tune đŸŽ” up. I thank the good man that drove us there. Karaoke Night Sundays? Buzzed enough I see no reason why I would not make a fool out of myself, God knows over the years I repeatedly have in good fun. Johnny Rivers “Poor Side of Town” seems about right. Tackle Box is an original, and from what I heard, the ownership which dates back and crew deserve plenty of recognition. 1 star 6 years ago, 10? Hello? How about recently, after all, this is no simple predictable place. Music does...

Let's get to it. Eating at the Tackle Box is a LOT like a classic Clint Eastwood movie..."The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly". 1st, the GOOD. The food is cooked to order, served hot and fresh, with decent portions, and depending on the days, there are meal specials to be had. The seasonings are near spot-on and come with plenty of condiments. The atmosphere is classic country, with pool and video games, and a full sized bar. I ordered the Boar Burger with fries, my wife ordered the French Dip with fries, and my son ordered the Fried Gator with fries (ALL pictured). We also ordered the Fried Mushrooms as the appetizer. Let's not mince words... the Boar was well cooked and HEAVY, and had a slight gamey flavor, which was expected. The Gator was seasoned perfectly and slightly chewy...again, expected. The French Dip was packed with meat and veggies, and the meat was tender. 2nd, the BAD...waiting for the food. Again, since everything is cooked to order, we waited...and waited...and waited. Each order came out in 10 min increments, which is unheard of. So for our orders, it took 40 min total. Eating a meal as a family was almost ruined. 3rd, the UGLY... the lack of enthusiasm by the order taker, the cook, and the server. Each looked like they could or should be ANYWHERE but there, and the amount of flies in the establishment. It's hard to eat when you're constantly swatting flies both off your drink and meal. This place is 3 stars by food alone, but has a lot of room for improvement, especially in getting the orders out and customer service. Yes, I understand it's a hole in the wall, but it should be BETTER. I may eat here again, but not...

This place is a home away from home kind of place, which is great, because I live really far away. It’s kind of like visiting family
but you have to pay for the food and drinks! I’m really excited about some of the food I’ve tried, and still working up the courage to order alligator!!!!! The cooks and bartenders are all so sweet, but it’s a busy spot with poppin concerts so the wait time for food is understandable. If you take a number from the kitchen and go into the dance floor, the kitchen staff will actually find you and bring your food!! An hour later. If you hang near the kitchen it might be faster. The Good Ol’ Boyz play here sometimes and I show up with them
. My favorite part is how the outdoor seating and smoking and bar games area is in between the parking lot and the bathroom and the bar / stage. You really can relax here, stay a while!! Come early and get your choice of parking spots out back, to the side, out front or in the adjacent lot. They all fill up!!! It’s a good time. Try the Long Drink in a can it’s my favorite canned cocktail!!! Don’t bring children,...
