The prices on only some items can cost more but you learn what these are and only buy as needed or when on sale. This is because if you look around their buyers buy only THE BEST MOST VARIED grocery items anywhere! Look at their produce—always beautiful ultra fresh the BEST! Their produce is fair market value but is of a far superior quality anywhere! So your fresh fruits and vegetables will not only be healthier, more varied, and taste better, but it will last so much longer in your fridge—making it more desirable and saving you money! They also offer hands down BEST MEAT DEPT variety and POWEST PRICES especially given the HIGH QUALITY meats like California Harris Ranch and California Certified Angus Beef SO MUCH tastier than say, Safeway, where I’ve noticed they are now selling “choice meats” (some of the LOWEST GRADE) for higher prices than Raleys Angus! It’s as if they’re trying to convince ignorance shoppers that Choice beef is great..it’s so not good. So Raleys meats are the best and at LOWEST prices. UPDATED on Aug. 2022. Service is becoming slow and really bad. one person working on the register and 2-3 others just going around like they are lost. I'm puzzled. DON't you cross-train them? Oh wait I know! liabilities and seniority. How hard it is that another employee walk to a register and start ringing/ scanning people's items. ASLO it looks like no-one smiles any more. WOW !!!! older rating: 2 stars to get the corparate's attention to lack of employees at following stations: 1-Deli 2-Pastries 3-Salad and hot ALL Adjacent. You lose money, I Would COME more often regularly to pick up sushi, salad and pastries, but lack of any one's presence on stations -after more than 5-7 minutes wait, (very long in the service industry) makes me leave. Multiply just $10 spending a person payday by 20 people times 365 days=$73,000/year from one line....

The produce was clean, elegant and beautiful. The people treat you as if their job depends on it and it kind of does! Due to the fact they have secret shoppers come in on The Daily! There is one man there that is always there when I shop for some reason it must be scheduled time. He is clean-cut blonde hair blue eyes and so polite! I think his name is Greg he is in upper management and could not be more kind. Recently he fix something for me with a product and since it was over the phone he had no idea who I was so when I went into the store some hey thank you for doing that and you was all it was you will no problem anytime! I used to be a Save Mart shopper and it's directly across the street it is a nice store but it's darn sure not as clean and the prices are almost to the penny exactly the same some are higher!
