This is a well-preserved historical building in Chillicothe, IL. I have been to weddings here, dances, award ceremonies.. This is a great place to rent for smaller social events. Behind the building is a sidewalk by the river with benches for watching the barges float by. It is a very quiet and calm place for eating lunch on a sunny day. Right across from the building is Shore Acres Park. Which is a nice place to bring the kiddos to come play. There is a pavilion right next to the building with picnic tables for small out gatherings. There is plenty of parking by the building as well as a larger parking lot that an RV could easily pull through. If you are interested in renting out the space, I would call and make an appt. as soon as you can to make sure they have the date open you are wanting. They do give discounts to non-profit organizations, which is nice.
