Despite being a bit far from our usual stomping grounds, we couldn't resist the temptation to visit El Molcajete after hearing rave reviews, and let me tell you, it was worth the journey!

Now, as a vegetarian food lover, I must admit that I wished there were more options on the menu to cater to our dietary preferences. However, that didn't stop us from ordering.

Amazing food. Honestly could be a little better but for authenticity its one of the best in the surrounding area. Definitely not cheap by any means but I was not disappointed in the quality. Tacos could use more "filling" seems like they skimp out on meat and veggies compared to other places. $13+ for 3 tacos and a side of rice and beans seems ridiculous considering the cost of ingredients and labor but definitely the first time in over 2 decades I have been able to fully satisfy a craving. I got the 2 pound burrito smothered in queso and played over a bed of peppers and onions for $16+tax so that is why I consider the tacos to be way over priced even with the side of rice and beans. Rice and beans are some of the cheapest things I have ever used to cook with as a dish or side or garnish. $8-$9.50 seems more reasonable while making...

I wanted something different for lunch, a quick Google search led me to El Molcajete! The interior is a surprise because from the outside it looks rather small. However, inside is roomy, with a hint of hacienda.

On the menu I found a nice variety of lunch options to choose from. The entire menu was available to order from, which was great because there are many tempting items on the regular menu that are not available at other Mexican restaurants. My lunch arrived quickly and was DELICIOUS!
