If I could give this place zero stars I would! Absolutely horrible. Most of the reviews left here must be fake! My 14 year old needs a regular cleaning. I took her in September and they refused to clean her teeth because they said that she needed a “deep cleaning”. They charged our insurance and I also had to pay out of pocket. It took three visits. The last one was in November of 2022. Went back today for a regular cleaning before she has her orthodontist appointment for braces. They guy who did her x rays said that her teeth looked great. She has never had a cavity. When it was time to do her cleaning, they again refused and said that she needed another deep cleaning. The hygienist said, look her gums are bleeding as she poked her in the gums with the metal hook, causing my daughter pain and her gums to bleed. She then told me that I had to pay $98 per teeth and that my insurance wouldn’t cover it. She was shaming my daughter loudly in front of other patients. She then stormed out of the room and took my daughters chart to Olga so I can work out the payment with her. My daughter was in tears!

My dental care experience at My Smile San Diego has been great. From the office staff and dental assistants as well as my dentist Dr. King and Dr. Herrera, the Implant Specialist , has been great! Dr. King has performed various procedures, and all have been well explained and performed with the utmost care during the visit and dental procedures. Dr. King talks you through the process, always asking how you are doing and asking if you feel any pain or discomfort. Both Dr. King and his assistant Isabel were great in explaining detailed after care instructions and making you comfortable while undergoing dental work . My experience with the office staff, Liz, Nicole, Teresa, and Olga, have all been positive experiences as well. Olga also gives detailed information on insurance coverage as well as details on what is covered and Out of pocket costs for dental work done as well as estimate cost for proceedures that will be associated with future dental procedures in detailed writing. Care credit is accepted at Smile San Diego too which if you have it, is a great option for payment for services rendered. I went in yesterday for an appointment at My Smile San Diego Dental Center because I was having problem with my tooth. Dr King evaluated my tooth and his evaluation indicated that my tooth needed to be abstracted. I had skeptism initially when he told me the result but after he calmly and professionally explain why it needed to be removed and he insured me that he could remove it the same day without issues, I went ahead with the appointment. Dr King and Isabel were the best dentists I have ever had the pleasure to do work on my teeth. They both calmly and professionally relaxed me and did the procedure without any pain or uncomfortably. Dr King, I must say is the best dentist I have ever had and he knows exactly what he's doing and he knows how to take care of a patient and send them home with a smile. I would like to thank Dr King and Isabel for their wonderful dentistry work, they are a super team and I hope my next visit I can get the same treatment from them.
