I don't eat here because they cook in LARD and I don't eat pork. But I had to pick up food here for work. I ordered over the phone, when I arrived they got the order wrong (even though they repeated it back to me correctly) I also was with my friend and they heard it correctly too. They don't let you substitute and charge for pico de Gallo unlike most other places. The customer wanted pico but not sour cream. We had to wait an extra 20 minutes because they did the order wrong . They didnt charge for the pico though at the time I didn't know they usually do when I realized they didnt sprinkle on the pico on one of the orders , they said they would charge me for anymore , I said you didn't before they said they were being nice , but honestly I think they didn't because they got the order wrong, then it turns out the cook put a dab of pico in the corner of the fries underneath them , I didn't see them and the worker Ivonne , pretty sure she was bout to use her fingers to touch it and show me before I stopped her , I used a fork and saw a spoonful of pico the other food had it sprinkled they refused to make it like the others, unless I paid they shoved another order literally in my face and refused to let me speak to their manager . Jackie was the one who did most of the talking and was the one who got the order wrong . I had waited a few days to see if the manager would call me back as I contacted another burros and they said the workers should have taken my info and ensured a manager would call me but they told me they werent allowed to give out any contact information. So I decided to write a review. No customer should be treated this way. No matter what job you have you are getting paid to have good customer service. Jackie also blamed be for the wrong order and said when she repeated it I should have caught the mistake but when she repeated it it was correct , she told the cooks the wrong thing and blamed me for it in front of other customers and the workers. She said she did me a favor and saved me money by not charging me, I said you wasted a half an hour of my time and I didn't have sour cream, so honestly the value for the meal was the same in the long run, no substitutions at a taco shop is just wrong anyways for those who dont use dairy. It's completely unprofessional over all the way the situation was handled and this place isn't cheap either not worth it in my opinion. To deal with these workers, and for food that I have heard is not the best and it's pork too no matter what you eat because it's Lard, so for those who don't eat pork, this place isn't for you. Hopefully the management will see this and do a customer service training. Because there was no resolution in the end the employee was rude and unreasonable, the one who helped was Jackie the one who assisted her...
Read moreThis was my second time going to this place and my last. The whole experience was wrong. I ordered a shredded beef sope and a pozole verde. My husband ordered the Ensenada burrito and a beer. When we placed the order we were told that pozole takes a long time. I said: it’s fine, I can eat my sope while I wait. Around after 15 min of waiting time, I said to my husband, I wouldn’t doubt our sope and burrito are just waiting for the pozole to be served. Which would be absurd as by the time it’s done those are ruined and cold. He got up and asked, he was giving the food immediately, the tortillas and our food have been waiting there. My door was a disaster, ugly and mushy, the burrito was saggy. I waited patiently for the pozole to be ready. It was easily 10 more minutes after I was done eating my sope. When they finally called me, I told them why they wait to serve the food that is ready if we are eating at their dining room? She didn’t know what to say. I was handed the pozole in a closed container. She forgot to give me the radishes and everything that comes with it. I had to get up again and asked for it. It was a terrible service to say the least. There’s got to be a more efficient way of serving your patrons. If I’m giving them 2 starts it’s because food was not terrible. Hopefully this helps them in improving...
Read moreI don't know if it was just this place, or all of their locations, but there are other places that offer free chips and salsa when dining in. This place doesn't offer that, instead they sell a bag of chips separately. We ordered some potato tacos and the tacos seemed like they were made from the potato flake powder used in mashed potatoes. Absolutely no texture to the filling, no flavor, and mushy. The salsa bar only had squeeze bottles, which you can't take to your table; you have to squeeze salsa into little plastic portion cups with lids. We went there in the morning and my wife wanted some coffee instead of soft drinks, they had a coffee machine, but they do not serve coffee (so we were told) In any case, I haven't had any burros or fries to completely give a more thorough review and I don't think I'd like to give it a second chance. Tha music was a little up for the place at that time of day, but hey, the employees seemed to enjoy it. Which BTW, there was only one young lady taking orders, serving, and performing opening procedures. So she seemed like she had a lot on her plate and might have resulting in her not being totally focused on customer service. I hope my experience was just a fluke and it's not a...
