Final update: Just take the review and move on. This is insane lol
Update in response to the store's reply: The 25% restocking few is written in small print at the bottom of the paper. Never verbally disclosed by associates, so it is, in fact, something you could miss. The measurements were fine. I am fully aware of the options the delivery service gave me. Their attitude and lack of effort was the issue, as I stated. I did not ask anyone to call you. And if you think plastic wrap is worthy of a 25% restock fee, you're out of your mind. Not to mention the couch was, in fact, still wrapped in plastic--it was not removed. I didn't want to work with you on another purchase after the horrible customer service. But thanks for your version of the story considering you (the manager) were not involved in my purchase or delivery. I have every right to voice my experience on here-- if arguing on Google reviews is your solution, okay then. The fact you felt the need to reply with an essay reveals enough.
Sales associates did not disclose the 25% restock fee with returns (which apparently goes towards plastic wrapping?) and manager was unwilling to budge despite the lack of disclosure. He claimed it was on the receipt—which only comes AFTER purchasing a piece. The piece probably could’ve been delivered, however the third party delivery service they use barely attempted to make it fit. One of the delivery men refused to try, while the other was trying to make it work alone. If they were less worried about covering themselves and actually tried to make it fit or propose alternatives, we could’ve made it work. Absolute waste of money for zero product. As a young woman shopping alone, I feel taken...
Read moreI completely agree with Nicole Niece. Her assessment of both Bargains and Buyouts at Glencrossing Way and of George, who also was very helpful to me, was spot on. Before going to Bargins and Buyouts I visited several other stores which feature discount furniture and supposedly low cost new furniture, without finding the combination of price and quality I was looking for. In every case, either my budget was too low or the cost was too high for me to pull the trigger on a purchase, until I headed to Bargins and Buyouts, which was my last stop of the day (why keep looking when you have already found the mother load). I intended to buy one specific item but I just couldn’t pass by the best selection at the best price that I could find in the Cincinnati area. George was so helpful without being pushy, l will definitely seek him out when I go back, which i most certainly wiIl. I have already recommended the store, and George, to several family members and friends. I went for one item and purchased three because, even with my budget limitations, I just couldn’t pass up their variety and quality at...
Read moreUsed Queen City Delivery to deliver my bed which is the company that bargains and buyout works with and they broke a window in my home. The owner has been completely unresponsive. I have been texting and calling them constantly to try to come to a resolution to get this window fixed. They said that they couldn’t even fix the window because it was a hazard, I called multiple companies and within 10 minutes found companies that could fix the window. I sent THE LOWEST quote to the company and the owner is refusing to pay. At this point, I have even requested a hundred dollars less than the actual repair will cost just trying to recoup some of my money. This is apparently a third-party, but the company in question does not have a yelp page or Google review or any other information I could find besides the information on the bargains buyout webpage. So I am unsure as to how they’re affiliated. They will damage your home and then not pay for...
