Waffle House — Restaurant in Cincinnati

I love Waffle House and will visit any location; this one is newer but closest to home. This time, I went to celebrate my birthday with my husband and my mother. They had half the restaurant blocked off, and the only available table was dirty. We waited for it to be cleaned off. Only two employees were working, and both looked stressed beyond belief. We soon learned one of them was scheduled from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and would soon be running things alone. At one point, they locked the doors to more customers to stop from being overwhelmed. One of the employees mentioned having worked there for over two years without getting promoted, which is the second time I've heard legitimate employee complaints about Waffle House in just a handful of visits. (I wonder why they're having trouble finding help...?)

Nevertheless, these women did everything in their power to make our visit as good as possible despite their dire circumstances. The coffee was old, but the food was delicious, and my mother's egg with cheese was the best she'd ever had at any Waffle House location ever (we've been going to Waffle House regularly for over 20 years). We left a big tip because we felt the waitress deserved it for how hard she worked despite everything. Overall, this trip was disappointing because Waffle House as a company is starting to worry me. Take care of your employees, Waffle House. They tend to be the best part of the experience, and if you don't give them your loyalty, how can you say Waffle House is "America's Place to Work"?

A+ employees, but a foreboding outlook for a business I've always supported. Here's to hoping Waffle House turns things...

Okay came here at 11:25 pm walk inside they are extremely slow. I sit down wait and wait and wait a good for 15 mins AT LEAST finally Ashley comes to our table.. LITERALLY pulls out dirty silverware puts them in a dirty cup wipes them off with a napkin IN FRONT OF ME AT THE TABLE. Give order and drinks and then again wait and wait and wait have to ASK for our drinks which we got sweet tea.. Completely stale.. Brings food out one by one not sure why.. Have to literally wait again too pay... It is not 12:05 am and have a few customers.. Food was cooked okay other server seemed good but maybe Rude? Couldnt tell just waited for the other lady Ashley too finally take our order AFTER being asked if anyone had served us. HORRIBLE service. Will NOT come back. Also, our server Ashley was stressed and kept mumbling under her breath oh my lord about being asked about our drinks or anything when they werent...

Went to this location told them I wanted my bacon fried hard explained more than once fried hard consisted of crispy bacon so when I noticed the cook putting undercooked chewy bacon in my box I was dissatisfied and upon further inspection my hashbrowns which I ordered loaded was also missing cheese because they had a brand new employee taking orders that didn’t know how to write the orders up so along with frozen looking hashbrowns evertthing was disgusting the cook was an older lady which I suspect was also the manager had a bad attitude probably because she was being over whelmed I brung my bacon back to be recooked but really I didn’t want any of it just didnt want to seem like a complainer because I didn’t notice the rest of the nasty undercooked food until the bacon was already remade I normally love waffle house when it is cooked right so I was very dissatisfied and...
