I really hate to give this Dollar Tree a bad review. I've been coming here for a very long time. It's never been a particularly clean place, but it had STUFF FOR A DOLLAR. I fear the shift started with the $1.25 change. I've heard of inflation and I'm an adult, I know there isn't much you can do about it, but a 25% price increase on items is a bit wild. Imagine if everything you've been buying started to go up by 25%.
We let the company get away with that because we understand business, but now, the āDollar Plusā aisles and scattered price hikes are completely changing the store. Items that used to be a simple $1 are now marked $1.50, $1.75, even $5 or more in some spots. A 75% price increase on some small toys in the regular aisles? Thatās not a minor adjustmentāthatās a total shift in brand promise.
Then, as a customer I have to hear the staff that's stocking openly mock other customers LOUDLY for expecting $1.25 to be the price of the items that are marked $1.25! Make that one make sense.
I used to like to pop into this store because it was quick and easy . I had good memories here, but now the memories are tainted and I've lost the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI visited this Dollar Tree today, 10/11/25, and wanted to share feedback on both the recent price increases and how this location handled them.
Many items were clearly marked $1.25, $3, and $5, but at checkout, they rang up as $1.50, $4, and $6. The cashier was polite and professional, but the managerās response was dismissive. When I mentioned the price change, he said, āDid you see the sign that says $3 and up?ā I told him the shelves and product labels still showed the old prices, so customers only discover the change at the register. His reply was essentially, āIt is what it is,ā so I chose to not purchase those items.
When I mentioned that customers would likely be frustrated by this, he said, āIām ready for it.ā Unfortunately, that attitude doesnāt help the situation. It wastes the time of the manager, and leaves the cashier and the customer confused and frustrated. I would have purchased other items if I knew these were raised a dollar each.
A simple sign at the entrance or updated shelf tags would have prevented all of that frustration. Instead, there was no apology or acknowledgment that shoppers are being...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLove the convenience of the location. I don't like if you have two check out lanes but they only open one. Clearly both check out lanes are needed. You see the others workers in store and won't stop what their doing to come and assist the other cashier. Then you have a line full of frustrated customers. Are you go to the other check out lane and the cashier says oh I'm closed you have to go to the other check out lane and frustration sets as you the customers don't want spend half your time trying to check out . If that's the case why do you have two cash registers and check out lane. Just have one lane one cashier then we know what to expect at check out lane. It's really disappointing and sad to expect great customer service especially at this dollar tree and this a very busy store. Come on Mr or Mrs Dollar Tree Corp owner get...
