I've given this location 3 different opportunities now. Having worked for Popeye's for 4 and half years before, I know what to expect when it comes to the food. My first visit the order was correct but the chicken was old and you could tell from the taste that the grease had not been filtered for multiple shifts. My second visit, I ordered a 4pc meal which they decided to give me 3 thighs and 1 leg, the thighs being extremely greasy which indicated the fryer temp was too low and they had been cooked longer and absorbed too much of that grease and then not drained properly. They also forgot my drink and when I said something to the woman at the window I got attitude. My third and final visit to this location, the food once again tasted like it had been sitting under the lamps for more than hour and tasted like once again the fryers were not being filtered properly. There is no excuse for this. Having worked in a store that brought in over 1.2 million dollars in sales in a year with minimal staff, I know that food can still be cooked properly and procedures can still be followed correctly even when busy. It boils down to the staff not caring about what they are putting out and management not caring about what the staff is doing or the customer. Read moreIncredibly poor organization within and must be Rhonda's first day managing. They guess at my total, give me the wrong total, then someone starts making 3 of an order, I only had one order and it wasn't even what the lady started to make. They had drinks sitting on the counter and there was complete confusion o, ver what they were among the staff. They hand me one and it's wrong. I wait 10-15 minutes with one person in front of me, only to be told after 15 minutes they can't take credit cards. I talk to Rhonda the "manager"who clearly has no one communicating with each other or following any kind of system or work flow. She said "What you want me to do? Can't take credit cards." No apology or anything, and she walks off. So I guess they'll just throw the food away and I leave with no food and 15 plus minutes of wasted time. It's YOUR problem not mine that you're having credit card issues and you're gonna either toss food or give it to the person who was ready to pay for it. Unbelievable. Went to McDonald's and got my food, correctly and with good customer service, in less than 5 minutes. Rhonda needs to go and observe their staff and manage accordingly. I got served an intentionally batter dipped earthworm. The mashed potatoes had a marking under the container with sharpie. I watched the girl personally selecting each piece. 3 pieces were dark brown and paper thin with discoloration. There was one normal looking chicken strip. Then there was an earth worm which was 5" long and string thin and slimy. Thankfully I pulled it apart before attempting to eat. I took it back and had the manager pull the breading off and got handed $10.00 which wasn't even a full refund. She seemed sincerely mad and surprised and may have been too upset to think to give me a full refund. I watched the workers who knowingly did this go from holding back smirks to looking caught. Regardless the entire deep fryer is contaminated. Good luck in your pathetic futures and I hope the managers and owner have enough decency to terminate the whole staff. 0/5 would not recommend.
