Madisons At Findlay Market — Local services in Cincinnati

I’ve been shopping at Madison’s for about eight years. They provide excellent produce, vegetables and other products. No supermarket style rock-hard, flavorless fruit there. Mr Madison and his employees have been invariably welcoming, helpful and pleasant. They were very understanding when a few months ago I explained to them that I have a medical condition that my physician said made it inadvisable for me to wear a mask. They honored the governor’s medical exemption and I was appreciative of that. Last month someone working in the store whom I had not seen there before told me that, if I wanted to shop there without a mask, I would have to call a half an hour ahead so that they could clear the store of customers. She said she is also an expert in the medical field. I acknowledged their freedom to set for their store whatever rules they wish, even to permit none of the governor’s exemptions. A friend recommended another store that honors those lawful exemptions. I...

Today was my first time here, but definitely not my last! I originally visited because I heard they had bulk grains and flours. To my surprise & delight, they had so much more! Their produce is locally grown and reasonably priced, they have a wide variety of pantry items and even some harder to find products like Diamond Crystal kosher salt (I totally freaked when I saw this!!), and different mushroom varieties. I love their "Bring Your Own Container" policy, bulk grains/flours/rices and most of all, the friendly attitudes. Their welcoming atmosphere gave the store a small-town feel and I can't recommend them...

This is the textbook definition of your friendly neighborhood grocer. The selection is terrific, the produce is always fresh, and the staff is incredibly friendly. They have a great selection of raw nuts, seeds, and grains and if they don't have something you're looking for, you can ask and they can order it for when you're back. That is going above and beyond great customer service. I only wish I lived in Cincinnati longer and could support this...
