I had a gift card to this place so I figured Iâd give it a shot. It was an OK experience overall.
parking is madness. If your appt. is on the weekend or during peak hours for the area, plan at least 25-30 mins to find parking. This isnât unique to this specific business, and I really feel like any business offering a service in this area should be able to request a couple reserved parking spaces for their customers. Otherwise thereâs no incentive to come unless you Uber or ride the bus.
My tech was sweet and really fun but I donât feel like the service was a good value for what I paid. My gel mani started lifting at the edges 2 days after I got it. My cuticles are still kind of a mess. Certainly not worth the $60 I paid. Me pedi was also just OK. I paid $$75 for it and it didnât feel worth the money.
the shop itself is cute with a good vibe but I didnât feel like it was worth what theyâre charging. Every other nail salon Iâve been to has had massage chsirs for pedicure clients. This place onmy has arm chairs. It just feels like I can get a better mani/pedi a lot closer to home for me thatâs a lot cheaper. They didnât even offer a glass of water when I came in.
my appointment was supposed to be done in under 2hrs. I was there for 2hrs 40 mins. Its a good thing I added extra time on my meter because if I had just gone by the estimates on the services, my car would probably have been ticketed.
Overall it was a decent service but I wonât be coming back. Between spending 25-30 mins parking (and getting stressed about them giving away my appt. because I was running late), being accosted and cornered by several men on the sidewalk as I walked by (the neighborhood leaves much to be desired if you venture more than 2 blocks away from Findlay Market), recieving a less than superior product, and my appt. taking 30-40 mins longer than it should have, its just not worth it.
ETA: The salon did reach out to me and offered a repair on my manicure but I declined. Its just not worth it to me to drive across town and pay for parking again for a repair. But if I lived nearby then perhaps I would take them up...
Read moreSo Iâm not sure why anyone would go here when there are plenty of way better options at an ambiance nail salon or another chain. Hello, my sister and I just recently got our nails done at spruce at the Findlay market location and we were not satisfied with our experience. I got a gel manicure and wasnât super impressed with my nails to begin with since the French tip I requested looked super think and lop sided. My nails tech was talking about her nail brushes and said she always forgot them, I saw the brushes and they looked so messy and worn out, she even had to clip them mid session because hairs were sticking every which way. It wasn't a super big deal but then I went to work the same day I got them done and my thumb nail fell completely off (I work retail and was zipping up pants). Next day, I was doing the same thing at work and the other thumb nail chipped off the tip! My sister got polish and her nail tech took so long to finish her nails, mine and my other sisters nails where done 20 minutes before her nails were done. She then noticed that her nails were filed unevenly and her cuticles were not properly trimmed. The polish job that took forever then looked lumpy as a result. She decided today to take off the polish since she was unhappy, then noticed that her nail tech didnât properly remove the gel polish that she had from a previous appointment. We donât want to get a âfixâ on our nails since frankly Iâm not the biggest fan of these nail technicians. Would much rather spend my money on a place way cheaper and actually will last. We got out nails done for my wedding at an Ambiance nail salon in Anderson OH and that experience was wonderful! And my nails lasted a whole month before they were just out grown, never chipped and neither did my sisters. Go there! They are much more experienced and...
Read moreI can not even begin to say how grateful I am. My mom, my daughter and I can in today for our nails for my wedding this weekend. From the beginning, we have had to keep in a lot of contact due to it being a complex and slightly confusing booking between the three of us. Every time we spoke before the appointment, everyone was exceptionally kind and accommodating in trying to help us navigate setting our appointments. Then when we arrived, everyone was so friendly from start to finish. They took great care of mom- sheâs in love with her nails. I do not remember her techâs name, but she was so sweet and did a fantastic job. My daughter had her first professional mani pedi, and Mari was so friendly and engaging with her, answering all of her questions about tools and colors and indulging her excitable young mind when she came up with new ideas. She was very patient with my daughter in being a little wiggly and not quite understanding the social expectations in a new environment. My daughter is so happy with her nails and has not stopped showing them off all day. Calucea did my nails for the second time today. She is incredibly artistically talented, and gave me some recommendations that made my bridal nails come out better than any other set Iâve had before. She was also very patient and kind with me when I had to maintain Mom-mode and try to keep my kiddo occupied while she waited on me. Lastly, the two folks at the front desk whoâs names I didnât get were so good to all of us. They went above and beyond to help the little stay entertained, and were so supportive of all of us the whole time in the shop, even though we were not perfect clients today. I am so thankful to all of you for your kindness, your grace, and your skill. No one will ever hear anything but positives about...
