Today, we got to go to Findlay Market and while we were there we saw the establishment, Taste of Belgium. This place was recommended to me by one of my friends who lives near here as I’m from another state. We wanted to order sandwiches and desserts off their menu, but we were told they no longer serve sandwiches. For us, this was a bit of a let down and I would suggest updating the menu to reflect only those items that are available for purchase. We left to go buy sandwiches from another place, but returned to buy lemon cheesecakes, frosted oatmeal cookie, snickerdoodle cookie, peanut butter cookie and a buckeye. My friend also purchased other cookies 🍪 and she made the comment that the person behind the counter acted like he didn’t want to be there. He also didn’t talk very clearly. Another patron was raving about all the desserts and said everything was good. I ate the cheesecake and it was good, however it was not very 🍋 lemony. I’ve eaten the snickerdoodle and it is good but each of these items have been lacking the main ingredient flavour. Having said this, I would definitely return to try other items if I lived in this area. I wanted to try their waffles, but I am already on...
Read moredense sugary waffle, high fructose corn syrup nutella, sweetened strawberry topping, canned whip cream, i didn't get enough waffle with that sugar., I've been to Europe, not belgium, but the waffles I had in Amsterdam were way better/different
Turkey club sandwich is really good but I was disappointed a week later when i asked if they made custom sandwiches and they said yes. I told him I basically wanted the turkey club without any turkey or bacon just extra eggs and cucumber, so he tried to charge me the same price as the turkey club even though I took meat and bacon off, seriously? I was shocked so I said shouldn't it be less? he acted confused, I said I guess I'd pay like 7 (dollar less) even though I believe it should of been 5 or 6, but whatever, then I get the sandwich, find a place to sit, and find out they didn't make it how I asked, they put extra cheese but not extra cucumber or eggs like I had asked, by that time it was around noon and I hadn't had breakfast so I just took the extra cheese off that I didn't want and ate the sandwhich. this...

Not only were they not very sweet, but they didn’t necessarily taste like their advertised flavor. They all tasted like the same version of bland.
I know they’re really known for their waffles. But personally, I haven’t been much for those either. They’re just a little too dense for me. I’m happy to enjoy a bite (assuming it’s covered in fruit and Nutella) and that’s all I want.
I have enjoyed their buckeye balls in the past. Hopefully those...
