The Skeleton Root — Attraction in Cincinnati

Back in August of 2021 I contacted the Skeleton Root to check out the venue. Kate quickly replied and we set up a meeting. We love it. September rolls around and I email Kate and say that I'm ready to book the date and that I have the money ready. She again replies relatively quickly again on Sept 25th. We made sure that the date was available and figured out all the details needed. The next email that I should have received was the contract... but I received nothing. We were quite literally in the middle of our email exchange and conversation that was ongoing that same day, and she ghosted me. I have called, emailed, direct messaged them on Facebook and Instagram. They ended up deleting any comments that I made asking about when they were going to respond to event inquiries. They finally privately messaged me on December 10th through Facebook that they will be following up to emails after the holidays and apologized for the delay saying they had been busy working the winery. Now I 100% understand that times are rough right now. And I feel that I have been more than patient, after all its now going into 6 months with no response. My wedding was supposed to be this October.... They have handled this terribly. Extremely...

Our wedding at The Skeleton Root Winery was perfect in every way and fulfilled our vision for our industrial chic, moody, winery-based celebration. We had been visiting and buying wine from Skeleton Root from some time and wondered, wouldn't this be a killer wedding venue. And just like that, even with many other options in the Cincinnati area, we couldn't see ourselves getting married anywhere else. The normal retail/day staff, who is AMAZING, was there for our event and they were even MORE AMAZING. I'm so grateful for how hard they worked in insuring that everyone was not thirsty and delivered so well on their service. The owner, Kate, is tremendous and definitely was a key player into how PERFECT our wedding day was. Truly she is there every step of the way and will go above and beyond to achieve whatever we have in mind. Please support this small business! We used The Skeleton Root as our wedding venue and we could not be any happier with our experience there. Compared to the other venues we shopped around for, The Skeleton Root had the most character and was very reasonably priced. The venue turned out to be absolutely beautiful, the ceremony flowed so well and The Skeleton Root event planner (Kate) made everything so easy. It was a stress free experience because of her and all of the service The Skeleton Root provided. We’ve gotten more compliments about the wedding from our guests than you would believe.
