I wouldn’t go to this store to pick up an Instacart order again. For anyone that doesn’t know you can pay 100 a year and do curbside pickup with Aldi with Instacart. I’ve been using this service for about six months now and I have had two issues so far. The first issue was I checked in on the app and me and two other cars were sitting waiting for a pick up and after ten minutes of waiting I decided to go in the store. Whenever I went in the store an employee told me the phone lines were down so they didn’t know people were sitting outside waiting on them. The employee handed me the bags and I had to struggle to carry them out and load them myself. My second most recent issue is I checked in on the app and put in my spot number and after waiting no one came out. I went in to grab the groceries and I was told that they did not have my pickup order because it hasn’t been shopped for yet. The app said my order was ready to be picked up and I even said I was on my way to pickup the order from the app. I asked for a refund but the store told me they weren’t able to give me one and that I had to contact Instacart. So I had to leave without my groceries because I didn’t have time to do the shopping myself. I use to come weekly for pickup orders but I will not be going back after this latest...
Read moreI am a fairly new customer to Aldi, but don't know that I will return soon. I understand and appreciate their business model, that their stock changes, and that what you buy and enjoy one day may not be there the next day, or ever again. I understand, appreciate, and use their refundable 25 cent shopping carts, which saves THEM time and money. I appreciate the speed that they check out customers, but this, as well as the carts is all about THEIR bottom line, not necessarily making for a pleasant customer experience. Aldi's checkers are forced to be so fast-paced and "efficient", that it falls on the customer to be an overly-active participant in the check-out procedure. Today, my groceries were literally thrown into a waiting cart with those of the customer ahead of me, forcing us to move aside and separate our purchases on the Aldi Altar of Efficiency, while trying as fast as possible to get out of the way of the customer(s) clambering behind us. I understand that this is "the Aldi Way", but there are plenty of other grocery choices out there that don't expect ME to...
Read moreI've given this place a few chances because it's so close to my home, but I leave disappointed each time. They're often out of the advertised "deal" or they have only one register open with 10 people in line. It's 6pm for crying out loud, you should know better as management. Have someone add support for an hour or two and .I've these people through.
The guy at the register today was very nice and polite, but why should this guy have to keep up with a line consistently over 10 people long when a second cashier would not only lessen the likelihood of this guy needing shoulder surgery in 6 months, but allow us customers to get out of the store and get home after a long day.
I keep giving this place chances, but every time I do, I get so upset that I don't return for another 4 months.
How many people like me feel the same way and take their shopping dollars to another store? They need to fix some of these...
