My husband and I decided to check this place out due to the google reviews being pretty good. To be frank, we were quite disappointed. We ordered a Carmel Apple Latte, the Strawberry Waffles, and the “Sweet Dream” (toast with Nutella, strawberries, and coconut). The store itself is cute with its decor, but the space could be used better by moving some furniture around. Most of the tables and eating space is crammed in the back corner which is uncomfortable when some chairs can’t be pulled out or used if someone is at the table next to you or behind you. It makes much of the space unusable. There is also a “business center” but it takes up much of the space that could easily be transformed into an area for people to eat while the rest of the space could be a “quiet work zone.” I understand how that may be appealing to some, but it takes away from the fact that people should have space to eat since it’s a restaurant and a coffee shop.
As far as the service, when we walked in no one greeted us or asked if we had questions about the menu; in fact, the employee didn’t approach us until we were standing directly at the register. After we ordered we sat down and we waited over 15 minutes for our food to be brought to us, when only one couple came in during the duration of when we ordered and got our food. There was at least two employees working, so it was surprising that it took so long. We didn’t feel as though we were being taken care of.
As far as the food, like I stated, we waited over 15 minutes when it shouldn’t have taken that long. They brought out the food at separate times (3-5 minutes apart) when it should have taken about the same time. The waffles were small, especially considering the price. They also were pretty dry and didn’t seem warm. The toast (Sweet Dream) was a disaster. The toast couldn’t be cut with a knife, and when you took a bite, it was both cold and hard. I don’t know if the person forgot they put it on the toaster and decided to serve it anyways, but it was essentially inedible. I took about 3 bites of it and then I couldn’t eat it anymore. We ended up leaving most of the food on the plate. The only somewhat redeeming quality of our experience was that the Caramel Apple Latte was pretty good, but I don’t think it was enough to make us want to go back (the latte is why this review is 2/5 instead of 1/5). We considered talking to the staff about the issues with our food, but when we got up there was a line of about 10 people waiting to order, but we decided it wasn’t worth waiting to talk to someone. We were very...
Read moreIf you're looking for a delicious and healthy option for breakfast or a mid-day snack, look no further than raining berries that I recently visited. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with the aroma of fresh, wholesome ingredients and a warm smile from the staff.
The menu offered a variety of açaí bowls to choose from, each one more tempting than the last. I finally settled on the classic bowl with granola, bananas, and strawberries, and I was not disappointed. The açaí was perfectly blended to create a smooth and creamy texture, and the toppings were fresh and flavorful. I could taste the quality of the ingredients in every bite.
The atmosphere of the cafe was also fantastic. The space was bright, clean, and inviting, with plenty of seating options to choose from. I felt comfortable and relaxed as I enjoyed my bowl, and I could tell that the other patrons around me were having a similarly enjoyable experience.
Overall, I would highly recommend this cafe with açaí bowls to anyone looking for a delicious and healthy meal or snack. The quality of the ingredients and the attention to detail in the preparation are truly exceptional, and the atmosphere is welcoming and inviting. I can't wait to go back and try more of their...
Read more(SEE UPDATE BELOW) I visited today for their soft launch. The customer service was excellent and it’s of course clean since it’s brand new. I purchased 4 smoothies and 1 Chocolate and Strawberry waffle. The waffle was a hit and 3/4 smoothies were warm and the texture was off since they were left sitting until the remainder of my order was ready. Long story short, we couldn’t drink them in that condition so it was a loss. I’m hopeful though, that the quality will be better in the future when they aren’t as busy and one of the lead employees helped me get the food to my car since my hands were full. Those kind gestures go a long way and I am appreciative. Long story short, I’d suggest in these beginning days of their soft launch and grand opening, only purchase smoothies if your party is present to consume there. If you have kids like mine and you bring them home, they will be disappointed if warm.
Update: The managers corrected this the next day during their Grand Opening. I was impressed by their professionalism, timely response and genuine desire to get it right. I’ve returned several times since that day and now my favorite are the match based Acai bowls. Thanks again to the managers for...
