Someone came by and "fixed" our furnace and had my mom turn it on and try to see if it worked. The heat came on and then she turned it off because it was still warm and we did not have to turn the heater on yet but when it got cold she turned it on for an hour and it broke again. I gave them a call and BJ came by and and took a look at it and said that it would be $250 for the part but we wouldn't be charged them coming to the house since it was within their 30 day policy. He said that he would give me a call when the part came in but now won't even answer any of my calls and it has been 2 weeks. We purchased an HVAC system for our house 3 years ago from Kozy. The system included 2 compressors and 8 mini-splits. One of the compressors did not work the first winter after installation, so the front of the house was not heating. We had to resort to our baseboard heating system. They came by several times and tried to fix the system. Unfortunately, they were not able to, so after 2 years they gave up and refused to return calls. I asked another HVAC service to take a look. In 2 visits they were able to troubleshoot and fix the system. My lawyer sent a letter/bill to KOZY asking for repayment of the services provided by the other HVAC service. I called the Ithaca number but they connected me to Auburn. Spoke with someone named BJ who promptly gave me a fair quote for a humidifier installation. He also corrected my preferred humidifier model, saying it's not compatible with my hvac, which turned out to be good advice. Within 2 days, their tech (Tom) came with the proper humidifier dot on time. He was very courteous, and with the help of his colleague Pat, was able to remove my old unit and install a new one. After an hour or so, I realized that my thermostat had gotten disconnected in the process. Pat promptly drove down for 1 hour from Auburn and fixed the heating immediately. Job very well done....
