China Wok Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in City of Auburn

When it comes to chinese food in Auburn, this is my "to go" place. It's true when they say it's all about the experience. The owners should have thought it through before hiring outside the family when it came to the front desk attendant. I gave her my order, paid, and let her know that I am going next door to shop and coming back. A simple typical retail response of "sure, no problem" would have sufficed. This is what I got instead, "of course you're coming back, you paid for it". She didn't even say it with a smile or giggle. It came across with the feeling of being an idiot to mention that I was going to shop to begin with. Yes, not the experience I was expecting. When I was done shopping, I had my dad wait in the car because I was going to march in there and say my peace. Another girl was attending me and she was excellent. The former girl, belongs in the back putting inventory away, not in the front trying...

For Chinese, honestly pretty bad. Used the cheapest cuts of chicken that were mostly fat laden, in a greasy sauce that tried to cover up the non flavor. Fried rice was completely disgusting. Tasted like Mexican yellow rice with no seasoning/flavor, was largely wet and soggy to which I suspect that it was never even fried. (or rather they are clueless on the technique to making basic fried rice)

Definitively a place to avoid. Literally every other place in town is higher quality, even though the lunch special was five dollars and some change, for that small amount of money there are far better options available. I can't even fathom the value of this place if you don't get the lunch special. To charge 7-8+ dollars for something that isn't even prepared right and is carelessly created is a...

So I called tonight and asked if they had fried peppered chicken they said yes so I ordered it, fried donuts, veggie lo main and 2 pork egg rolls. I waited 45minutes almost an hour for it. I tipped the guy 5 dollars on my 15$ order. After opening the food no egg rolls at all, and my food was basically pieces of chicken with green peppers in it. Again not what I ordered so I called back was understanding asked for egg rollS and to get something I would actually eat. After waiting yet another almost 44 minutes the food arrives and I'm still missing an egg roll. I called back only to be told I only ordered 1 egg roll because there computer said so and that I needed to learn how to order. Never again will I go here or recommend it to anyone.
