Update 2: They replaced one cushion and I explained my concern for the cushions breaking at the seams for the rest of the set and the fact that after one month all the cushion went flat and you can feel the wood boards underneath and that may be why the seams were splitting, too much stress on the fabric. The owner came over to take a look in February and said he would contact me the end of February after speaking with the manufacturer on what to do. He never called back. I called the store twice and submitted a message on Facebook. I assumed i had no response in April and may bc of the coronavirus but its now mid-July. Its hard when you try to buy local to support local families and keep the money in your town, only to be sold sub quality furniture. I reached out to the designer of the couch set, Best Home Furnishings, and they told me there was nothing they could do and to reach out to the stpre I bought it from. So I've officially given up...dont care for anyone to come by my house again to look at anything in this day and age of pictures and many ways to communicate besides having multiple people come to my house to see what even neigh or have claimed as faulty furniture. They should've just replaced it with a set they knew wasnt terrible. They claimed this set has sold to many many people and they've never heard a thing....well ignorance of patrons phone calls and not keeping with your word and calling when you say you will doesn't qualify as "nobody ever complaining." And no, I will not be removing my review as asked as you guys didn't hold up your end of the bargain. Update 1: Owner has reached out to us and will send someone out to our house next week to replace cushions. He will stop by to look at stitching as he doesnt believe this to be the usual quality from this brand. I will update again after cushion replacements but am hopeful for resolution, thanks to Michael.
Spent $2500 on couch and loveseat and the loveseat ripped a seam and the cushions are mostly flat and its only been 7 weeks. Will contact for resolution...shouldn't have to do that with what was called "the best...
Read moreI went into Lynch's furniture in Auburn on 2/12/2023 because of a letter I received advertising a special sale. Phillip Bushallow was the salesman - being a senior on social security I have to select my purchases carefully and did alot of looking around comparing different recliners. I finally selected two and could tell Phillip was very relieved to write up the sale and be done with me. Delivery was scheduled for Friday. On Wed. we had a power outrage with many power surges and my refrigerator "died' - in addition that evening the gentleman who was going to assist me in moving/removing existing items fell and injured his knee bad enough to require surgery. I immediately called Lynch's Thursday morning to see if I could cancel since it was not a special order but on hand items or else delay delivery. The woman I talked to was very rude and curt - informed me that when I signed the contract (of which I got no copy) the sale was absolutely final and no changes could be made. When I asked if there was someone else I could talk to, she said the manager would be in later but would tell me the same thing. My problems obviously were not theirs but was in hopes of a little understanding as a senior in both a financial (refrigerator more important than recliners) and lack of assistance situation. The merchandise itself is fine (only reason for 2 star review) - I had previously had "Best" recliners - and I can understand Phillip's lack of patience BUT overall I did not find dealing with them to be a satisfactory experience. (And to add to this feeling that Tuesday's shopper had a front page add with the one recliner $200 less...
Read moreSales was superb. It was when the store manager misspoke about delivery dates and times things became ugly. I've never been screamed at by a store manager before, and the promise of the owner Mr. Lynch calling...well..I'm still waiting. The products were wonderful, but the lack of accountability is unnerving. UPDATE: My husband (not the person who was on the receiving end of the screaming store manager..) got a call from Mr. Lynch who agreed about the miscommunication, indicated that we got our furniture and assumed we liked it. He did NOT however apologize for the behaviors of his staff. Makes me wonder....Mr. Lynch....just because we like the product, does that make screaming at customers okay??? Minus 1 star..... Edit #2... He stayed he was there when the conversation took place with the person in question...then why did she tell me that you weren't there? Why didn't you ask for the phone to speak with me? Oh I know. You wernt there...so not only do you condone poor customer service, you are okay with untruths...just to make your story seem plausible. My husband and I still joke about the experience we...
