My family and I went here over the weekend, for my sister’s birthday. We ate, and the food was alright. What wasn’t alright, however, was that, as soon as I left the table to pull up my car, not one, but two waiters (40+ years of age) proceeded to make romantic verbal advances to my fiancée. My fiancée and I are in our mid-twenties. It was apparent that we were together - we entered the restaurant together, held hands, and she has an engagement ring on. She told them that she had a fiancé and they both were visibly upset upon hearing this. One even went after her in order to offer her his hand and make more conversation. She told me all of this upon entering the car, saying that it was uncomfortable and weird, and I re-entered the restaurant, asking for the manager. I spoke to a couple of half-witted waiters who pretended to be oblivious, and told them that this was unacceptable; upon describing them to my fiancée later, she confirmed one of them was one of the harassers. All in all, incredibly unprofessional and wildly inappropriate for older waiters in what is supposed to be a decent establishment for families and relaxed nights out. We won’t be returning to this place, as long as they employ disgusting/pathetic waiters such as those...
Read moreI had the opportunity to enjoy this new restaurant in Auburn (Where Spirits once was). I had a few messages of "How was it" and figured I would post my review. The Look - 100% completely remodeled (tasteful, classy with exposed brick charm). The Food - Lots of great dishes with a light healthier feel. The Drink - Plenty of wines, Imported beer list is limited. The Light - Perfect warm level of lighting (Not dark, but not bright). The Space - There is plenty of tables but some of the "couples" tables seem too close. The Cost - I think the prices were decent. When I walked in, I expected the prices. Comparisons - A larger Bambino's Bistro (Same owners) with a slight increase in quality. Greatest Feature - I noticed they installed full faced french doors across the front. I see their space extending to outdoors seating in the summer. I think this is awesome placement on a "Brick street feel". Reminds me of many great restaurants in Italy. Overall - I enjoyed it and thought the place was done very well. The Wood Fire Pizza was a nice touch and added to the look. I would suggest you try it at least once. Negatives - Not kid friendly...
Read moreWe ordered the filet mignon, lobster ravioli with scallops and lobster added on extra, meat lasgna, and the chicken special. The food was good the service was ok.They up sold us on the lobster special. We arrived at 5 pm so it wasn't very busy......update went here again today was previously here about six months ago. This place is overpriced and the food choices and portions suck. I ordered the lobster ravioli with shitake mushrooms roasted garlic and shrimp. It literally only came with two shrimp. The lobster ravioli was filled with a lobster puree. The whole dish tasted like over salted tomato sauce. I also ordered a cesar salad. It had barley any dressing and tasted like plain lettuce. The company I was with ordered the spinach ravioli with mushrooms in a cream sauce. The sauce tasted very sweet . Which did not pare very well with the dish. Someone also ordered a calazone. They said they enjoyed the calazone. I wouldn't recommend this place though. I probably also won't be returning myself. I've been here four times in the past three years. Disappointed every time. If I do return here. It would only be to try...
