I generally limit my reviews to positive experiences only hoping to bolster the reputation of a business. Unfortunately, I am so disappointed in the service I have received from this particular AT&T store on School Street in Glen Cove, and want to prevent others from making the same mistake I have. I bought my iPhone 16 pro max from them less than a year ago. Despite having gone to other AT&T stores with which I was very happy, I deliberately frequented this AT&T location because my husband and I have received good service from them in the past. They have been helpful and friendly and seemingly honest. When I bought my phone, I paid for the additional phone screensaver warranty - free replacement for the life of the phone. I’ve returned several times in the past few weeks only to be told, they didn’t have the screen savers in stock. So today when I arrived and saw they had a few, I was thrilled. The salesgirl there informed me that I could only receive this free replacement from the girl who had sold me my phone a year ago. I was told that this other salesperson was the only one authorized to fulfill my warranty. I’ve never before heard anything so crazy! She wanted to charge me $50 for something I’ve already paid for. Both employees who took a look at my phone had I Phones of their own but before they even looked at my phone they asked fro my cell number and started looking up my account. They quickly told me my phone was un-repairable and tried to sell me a new phone with a new plan. I explained to them that I am on a Family plan and I should be due for a free phone under that plan and they told me I wasn't and still tried to get me to go off my Family plan and start a new 2 year contract on my own.
