My husband and I were left pretty disappointed today with this place. First and foremost though, I feel for all restaurants during this time trying to make it and survive what's going on. However I need to be honest for others to know, and for the staff to hopefully take something from this. Starting off with something positive, I like the space, decor and music; my husband and I have come for our lunch dates recently. The service is not great though if I'm being honest. They're pretty relaxed, almost slow, considering they only have a few customers at a time with 1 or sometimes 2 servers. We've had better service at Olive Garden which this place, I would think should be held to a higher standard. I ordered a bloody mary today, needing some fast hydration. They gave it to me completely filled with ice and just 6 oz of the actual drink.
I told the waitress that I would like another one with way less ice as this one was almost barely filled with the actual drink and I said i didn't want to be charged for another one which she said I wouldn't with a smile. Come to find out later, we were charged for 2 bloody marys which obviously was annoying considering I spoke to her, and she to her manager/bartender already. My husband spoke with the manager/bartender to which he responded in favor of the waitress and not wanting to go against "her" word over my husbands. Really? Whatever that means, it was clear their staff is careless with customers. My husband bothered by the whole thing, did not wish to pay for tip which they already included. He spoke with the owner who was very nice but said they're doing well with their service but just made a mistake.
Sadly, that's not the case. Being a fairly small town with few mexican places in this pandemic doesn't mean that staff can chill, be careless, and rest on their few local customers that they're used to getting. Long story short, were not happy with the service, their nonchalant almost careless attitude about everything, expensive prices $$$ (their prices according to google). I will say that the owner was nice and threw in a free flan but honestly that just didn't cut it after such an annoyance and his comment about them doing well.
I wish this restaurant well and they're not horrible, good food but not worth it for the price and experience they offer. Its a one time place honestly. Were not...
Read moreRecently brought my family, including young children to eat in their outdoor covered backyard. It was very warm that afternoon. Th e space is nice except we felt they could have had a fan running to keep the air moving. Also, there was a lot of noise emanating the the neighboring property, ( I believe it was an AC condenser ). When we first arrived we were nicely greeted by an 'unmasked' hostess. Masking by the staff appeared to be haphazard. The $5 Margarita was said to be very, so was the cold draft. The food and service was good. I had the paella and it wasn't as good as the price would suggest- basically Mexican rice with some shrimp and chorizo, not worth the price Basically, the rest was just OK. I may go again for...
