Bear Bottom has the potential to be a great resource for pre-owned merchandise, I’ve been in many times before, but be weary of shady business practices if you aren’t working directly with the owner. I purchased a used dehumidifier here on Wednesday, and specifically asked if it didn’t work could I return it for a refund this week, to which the woman said absolutely. I brought it in today because it didn’t absorb any water in its bucket after running overnight, its clearly broken, and when I brought it in a different associate said they do not give refunds. I just wanted a dehumidifier that works, I didn’t purchase with the intent to return it.. But they didn’t have any more on hand, only humidifiers. So after having to plead my case that store credit was insufficient the owner way called and I was given a partial cash refund, shorted the tax and encouraged to leave. I love buying second hand merchandise -but not broken products. Larry, I’d encourage you to make sure all of your associates are on the same page. Awesome store!! The owner is very nice and friendly. He will help you with anything you need. The service is fantastic and I love the atmosphere and music selection. Has everything from furniture to toys to books, kitchen, golf ball’s, Christmas, Fall, and Halloween decorations and lots of treasures. Some old antiques to. If the price doesn’t look right to you, just ask, and he will work with you on a price that is right for you. You will be in there forever looking around, but you will always walk out with something. I love poking around in there. The staff is always nice and greets you but never have they followed me and/or smothered me. I like all the little rooms tucked away, lots to explore. The only problem I have is with the pricing. The prices are kinda high but it's always %50 off. Seems kinda scamy. I'm not saying it is a scam it just comes across that way.
