Tractor Supply Co. — Local services in City of Rome

Convenient. And unlike many retail stores that advertise, "Save money," at TSC, you really do save money compared to other stores selling the same or similar products. I shop the Rome, NY location once-a-week. My problem(and Theirs), is they request everyone with a backpack/daypack, to leave-it at the register while shopping. Well, TSC Management, I've had two items damaged on two separate occasions when the pack was left at the register. As if someone deliberately dropped-it or...KICKED-it. And your store is very much liable for damages. And it is also "PROFILING," people, which in New York state, is positively...illegal for a business to do. Some employees are courteous & understanding. Some are annoying, rude, and oblivious to other customers. One reason why online shopping is endangering retail store business. Now, the items damaged were no more than ten dollars. But the primary-point, is TSC, is liable for damage to items it specifically asks to be left at the counter, prior to shopping in the store!! That is small business law of New York. Which is why other large retail stores no-longer have the policy. I've also noticed that women, walk into TSC with large cloth shopping bags or purses, as big as a small backpack. Don't see employees asking those items be left at the front register. And it's much easier to steal items with a large purse, rather than removing a backpack off your shoulders. Again...profiling. And it is...discriminating. What kinda retail store has no security cameras? And many employees just congregate around a register rather than walking the aisles....

I frequently visit this store. I have never been to a Tractor Supply that looked like the Rome store. So clean and so organized. I drive an extra 25 minutes just because your store is the best around. The management here is absolutely amazing. Chuck is an extremely pleasant and hard working person and it’s always nice to chat with him. He always goes out of his way to accommodate myself and my family who have some disabilities. Alongside Chuck, I have noticed the overall moral of this store has drastically changed. Every time I walk in a worker acknowledges my family and I and we always have a great conversation. There’s a smile on everyone’s face each time we go shopping here. It seems to always be busy and I applaud everyone in your store for always going above and beyond. A huge thank you to all the workers. Keep up the good work. 5 stars...

do NOT take good care of their animals and purposefully give out the animals that are sick so they can still sell them. awful customer service aswell and when confronted about them handing out a sick bird without saying anything they proceeded to be extremely rude and defensive. i know that chicks are considered “disposable farm animals” because of how quickly they can breed, but the treatment they endure at this establishment is INHUMANE and insanely...
