I really want to love this Home Depot because its in a convenient location but the truth is I just don't. I actually shop here quite often and every time I'm underwhelmed. My biggest issue has to be the outdoor gardening section. The plants here are extremely under cared for. They don't have an automatic watering system for them and it's clear that they aren't getting enough care. Most of them are dead or knocked over. It's truly a sad site. Disregard for nature, fruit trees and vegetable plants as well knocked over and burnt up. I mean I completely understand that we are in the middle of a global pandemic right now so many companies have amuch smaller staff currently. But why order so many plants then?? Order the amount you need and then order more when you sell them or pay to have a watering system installed! Okay rant over about the plants (Ill have to come back and upload some pictures so you can truly see the extent of the issue here though it's significant). Another issue is that the store is full of employees however we can never seem to find anyone to help. We were trying to purchase a home security system from them and couldn't find a single person that would stop what they were doing and help us find them. We tried to find them on our own before asking ofcourse. Come to find out they are locked up at the front of the store that isnt visible to customers (completely understand the reasoning behind that seeing as they are so expensive) which is why we couldn't find them! Bought the cameras for about $500 total (very happy with the purchase by the way) but not even a week later they went on sale for less than 50% off!! We called and customer service said we could get a refund of the difference which was awesome because we needed security mounts anyways for the cameras but when we got there they couldn't refund us the difference without us "repurchasing" the security system. We ended up having around $750 tied up in this system for roughly a week before we seen the refund of the original price. Then to make it worse we found out while there that the warranty we purchased with the system needed to be "activated" by calling a number that noone seemed to know. When I specifically asked that question when we purchased it. If we hadn't of went back for the price adjustment we would have bought it in vain. Still in the process by the way of figuring out how the warranty sign up goes. Loved the cameras so much we bought another set but went to Lowes instead (got a military discount...
Read moreI can't believe the incompetence of this company. In the beginning of May I ordered three new appliances for my kitchen renovation, new refrigerator, double oven and dishwasher. One of the items was backordered so I requested they hold all items so they could be delivered at once. Mid-July I get an email saying my order would be delivered the following week. The delivery guy looked around my kitchen and asked if I was having the dishwasher installed. I told him I had paid for installation and then he told me he was having a rough day and one of his crew had quit and he wouldn't be able to install the dishwasher. Told me I'd have to call to reschedule the install. The following week two more guys came out to do the install and they told me they couldn't do it because I had a leaky valve under my sink. Called my plumber to fix the leak and called to have the install rescheduled for the third time. This morning two men came and told me they can't install the dishwasher because I have a garbage disposal. I just can't believe this. A garbage disposal is not a rare thing... Nobody could have mentioned this sooner? Also I've had two dishwashers installed by Lowe's over the 25+years I've lived here and never had a problem before. I have an account at Lowes and usually do most of my purchasing for my home from them. I only purchased this time from Home Depot because of their sale prices but with all the plumbing costs I'm incurring, plus the two days I've already had to be available I'm not saving much in the long run. Lesson learned, I'll be giving Lowe's my business...
Read moreI have visited this store three times this week. As a new home owner, and a curious person, I couldn't believe how helpful and friendly the staff were. I had to be guided through the store's layout as it is much different from other Home Depot layouts. I also had multiple employees volunteer their help to guide me to the product I was searching for (as I have yet to know the store).
Today I had to purchase a wet/dry vac and it's accessories thanks to some minor flooding in my basement. Once I got home I discovered on e of the attachments I bought was the wrong size (a size I could not have known without looking at the manual). So, I brought the manual and the attachment back to exchange it for the proper size. The entire customer service area was in what seemed to be melee. Employees were advising customers that the return system was not responding, and that they were looking into it (as they obviously were). At least three employees were actively manning the returns counter during this time. One woman, I could tell, was unfortunately in the middle of a return when the system had crashed. The employees were handling the situation splendidly, as were the obviously dismayed customers. I just had a simple exchange, and even though their system was down, and I lost a dollar on the transaction, I was MORE than happy to be getting the piece that FIT my vac.
I'm more than pleased with this store as it has delighted me thus far. I am proud to shop there and will keep my business with them as they are truly a...
