Computer Center — Local services in City of Watertown

This gem of a business has saved a couple of computers in my house! For one case, after accidentally dumping soda (Coca Cola no less!) on my MacBook Pro around February, the keyboard worked for a few months but eventually died and I couldn't even power up the computer. Being an authorized service provider for Apple, they quickly ordered and installed the needed part. I now have a fully functional computer again (with no soda in sight!) I'm very happy with their work and highly recommend them.

On a quick note, before contacting the Computer Center, Apple was less than helpful when I attempted to get help from them directly at first. They wanted to 'wash' my computer to address the soda spill. Even after explaining that the computer was completely unresponsive after working for a couple months after the spill, they told me that's all they could do for 'spills'. Not helpful at all.

So, if you own a MacBook or other Apple computer, this is the business to visit for help.

They also fixed some internal issues with my son's HP laptop. He's very happy with the newly installed parts and the performance of the computer.

I must tell you that I rarely write reviews, but this is important. I paid for a 24/7 protection plan from Best Buy on my computers for several years and had never really used it.When my 18 month old Lenovo Yoga powered up but had a black screen, I made an appointment and took it in.After looking at it and turning it on for all of 10 min. or so, I was told that it was probably the motherboard and that it would cost upwards of$ 400 to fix. My plan,of course would cover none of it, so I should probably just junk it and buy a n e w one...from them...again. I paid over $600 for it ...a lot of money for me.I took it to The Computer Center and was treated in a very courteous manner.Everything was explained well. In a few days my machine was running fine.The fix?They took it apart, cleaned it and put it back together. $70 later I have become a fan.When I contacted Best Buy they had no help to offer, even though my plan WOULD have covered what was done.They wouldn't pay for it ...of course!If you want to be treated fairly,have options clearly explained, and walk away a satisfied customer. Amazing service, amazing people! I was devastated that my MACBook would not turn on. Every photo of my deceased mother and the first three years of my son’s life were on this computer. I went to the shop to be greeted by two friendly gentlemen around 3pm who reassured me they would do the best they could. I received a message around 8pm that same night in regards to my computer. Come to find out my file system was “too corrupt to repair.” Meaning they could back up my data (docs, pics, music, downloads) and then would reinstall the newest operating system followed by restoring my data. I lost any applications that I had on there (Word, Excel, Games, Etc) but the sentimental photographs were saved! The next morning around 9am I received a message that my computer was ready and the repair was only $125.00. In less than twenty-four hours my computer was repaired at a very reasonable price, especially for priceless photographs being recovered. Thank you computer center for the phenomenal chain of communication, hard-work and dedication to those...
