Dollar General — Local services in Clanton

I have never been so frustrated with Dollar General in my life!!! Not just this one in particular but several!!! I go in DG store # 22418, cashier named DJ....to kill some time,. I'm going through some clearance items that are marked 50% off, I have a buggy full and I get up to the register to pay. Cashier DJ starts ringing up my items, to start with DG should already have a program set for sales to automatically take the 50% off instead of the cashier manually doing it, an item rings up $3.00 and on the DG tag it has $2.50. WHAT!!!! It's ringing up more than the tag but he's not wanting to change it!!! Who wants to pay more for something that's clearly marked, on the original DG tag. I sure don't!!! It's not my fault that the system had a different price. I ask cashier DJ to let me have the item back to get a picture and his reply was he wasn't giving me anything back. I ask for his name and he said it was nunya business....I had to ask the Pepsi cola vendor These employees are down right rude, disrespectful, hateful, and extremely unprofessional!!! I've had one cuss me out and threaten me and now this all because DG doesn't hire people that are qualified management material, DG doesn't have enough to keep the shelves stocked, and DG doesn't update their prices in their system!! I really don't see how they open a store on every corner with unqualified help!!! Something needs to be done about this!!! I have met with my attorney regarding the first incident and now I'll have to bring up the false advertisement ordeal!!! Good luck to all that try to encounter DG. The store in Shelby, AL, they're shelves are bare and they don't know how to order...

It was my first time being in this new store since it opened and IT WAS AWESOME & I LOVE IT!!!! The employees were friendly and very helpful!!! Your Manager Chris Easterling was the best I've even seen. He knows his store & Dollar General in & out... The store was very space and that's a #1 to me. And it was easy to find what I needed... And the cleanliness was SUPURB!!!! THANK YOU FOR A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE IN THIS STRESSFUL DAY AND...

Dollar general at exit 208 on I65 in Alabama rarely has diet pepsi. They receive 8 8pack16oz diet cokes each week. I've spoken with manager several times about this and she tells me that she spoke with the "PEPSI MAN" and beyond that the inventory is ordered at the corporate office. I have since changed stores only to find they have the same problem. Let me also comment that the store is always clean and the employees...
