The concept is good and the kids had some fun making the food but I found sometimes it dragged and the kids would get restless and very hungry before they could have the food they made. Another thing I wasn't too crazy about for the price I paid I would expect the place to be cleaner and the people to be more hygienic...I was really grossed out by the fact that my kids had to eat the food that all the other kids had a hand in making and I was watching them the whole time. Three hours of sitting down there wasn't a body part that these kids didn't touch. Second of all for sanitary reasons the washroom did not have soap and was really dirty. I am assuming there is food involved there should more cleanliness involved. Soap should be available everywhere so yeah I don't thing I would repeat this. I mean I'm not OCD but some things are common sense when your handling food. Although the staff is nice just maybe a little more experience handling kids especially you have to expect they will get restless after a long time if sitting down and taking...
Read moreA little whole ago, I took a tamale-making class. It was a small group of us. I enjoyed the class. It is a good experience for friends, couples, or groups. They even have kids cooking class. I think it would be fun for parties, girl scouts activity, team-building for kids or adults. We all participated in making the tamales. I will admit that i would prefer doing each step myself as a participant with a little more personal space between the seats. We received two tamale recipes after the class. Now, even though I said that I would have liked to have done each step myself....tamale-making is a long process. Oh, we did get to taste the tamales in class and take some home. So, yes, it was a good class. I am just a hands-on person with my hobbies and activities and wanted to be involved with each step. With that said, I will have to see what classes are...
Read moreDefinitely not what i thought it would be. Heres a list of issues I had with the place. The main issue is you don't get to cook the food yourself, you merely help prepare the ingredients and watch the chefs cook it. Second main issue is you dont get to take any food home. Those reasons alone are enough to decide not to go. Pay $120 to watch people cook. I dont think so.
The chefs didn't go over their credentials, who knows who these people are. They used terms that they expect everyone to know. I knew only because I watch enough cooking shows. They dont have a single stove! I dont understand. They dont have any beverages. Zero. Not even for purchase.
I wouldn't come here again. This isnt a cooking class. This is...
