I was sitting out front next to this place eating at the crepes place with my son. We were sitting on the sidewalk table, enjoying a local artist playing music on the sidewalk and she came and slammed her shop door shut, shaking the building. A few minutes later she walked out, locked the store and started yelling at the man to get away from her shop or she’s calling the cops and saying she didn’t want to hear his noise. Identified herself as the store owner. Very rude and miserable old lady. I was shocked. So many people had walked by, expressed enjoying his music and even tipping. She was clearly just bitter and in a bad mood, but the village is full of local artist. People enjoy that here. Being an “art studio” I would expect more from someone who owns one but is attacking an unprovoked artist doing what they love. Definitely not a good look for a business owner especially in the village.

🎨 My wife and I were taking a walk around The Village after dinner and we’re doing a little window shopping. Elizabeth and her friend were inside working on a piece of furniture, but they invited us in to look around. We ended up buying a really cool coffee mug and a cute charm bracelet for our daughter that Elizabeth wrapped for us. I was surprised to read the other reviews as we had a wonderful and warm experience with Elizabeth. She was welcoming, patient and kind. She also shared with us that there was an art walk every month downtown, which we weren’t aware of! We will definitely be back in the future!

Was walking by with my kids, and saw the owner telling a 4 year old she was going to call the cops on her, then slammed this little fold up sign. Kid looked pretty upset. She did say this is why small businesses can't make it, but really just seeing that happen meant I'd never go in to even look...
