At first I was not going to write this review. But someone should be aware of this...
It's not the AutoZone company but the employees at this location. When workers are unenthused at work it's a reflection of quality a company provides to paying customers. A little more effort should go in interviewing/hiring. Employees should have some type of simple vehicle knowledge and customer service with the public, it would go a long way in bringing return customs. If it's just a pay check $, society might as well start using robots and ai for daily transactions.
â I called the afternoon of the day before to see if they had a simple part for my vehicle. Compared to other locations.. This Clawson location just don't ever have parts in stock, it's always we have to order it. Well Ok, fine... Only for the price. So I spoke with a guy over the phone and put in the order of the part to be there the NEXT morning. I asked the associate respectfully could they give me a call when the part arrives. The guy told me they would. I then asked around what time and I was told between 9 and 11am they receive daily deliveries. As that I needed to get this part asap and No point in wasting time... Im right up the street I'll will be right up there.
So, The next day arrives I called after 9am to check about the part. It's Monday, Just in case the location was busy or something and it may have not been priority. Once again Im told no the part has not arrived. I asked once again politely could the store give me a call when it arrives. Was told ok we will. Now 12 /12:30pm rolls around with no call or communication. So, I just go up to the location and to MY SURPRISE the store is EMPTY and NOT BUSY at all! Parking lot is vacant. 2 employees.. one young and clean shave guy sitting way at the end of the counter in back and a heavy set, long beard guy standing not to far away. We looked at each other... Neither one spoke when I walked into the location and a 3rd older guy popped out and asked me how can I help you. I told him I ordered a part over the phone the day before. He looks around on a bare shelf and a single small box about a foot long is sitting there. It was my part for sure. I asked the guy what time did it arrive at the store? He told me he didn't know and the he just started work at the time. While he was ringing up the part I tried to let him know about what happened but I could tell it was falling on deaf ears. I only bought the part because of the price and close location. (No point in having it shipped if the location is up the street. I don't know but make sense.)
Before I left the store same guy randomly asked If I was installing the part or someone else. I replied myself. Only to have him tell me he had an accident in his vehicle that he tried to fix and that if you work on your car to much, it will be problem and you'll have to get rid of it. I shook my head and said no as I was leaving the store. In disbelief, I took that as a negative statement. I'm a woman that fixes on vehicles and have not had a problem doing so. Im not sure if that's how guys talk to each other but iv never had someone say something like that to me before in the last 20yrs of me learning about vehicles and buying parts and supplies. I'm very hands on with engines til this day. So I'm pondering, if customers buy parts, products or supplies from the AutoZone company they can pay for not just salary but hr wage for employees also. That goes into profit for the company to have locations, pay taxes and keep the company alive. Right?!
Better trained employees make a location and experience memorable. That would make customers more likely to return with business.
We are not just a $ sign but people of the same community where the company wants to profit. I should expect better customer service be that its city of Clawson but nope! The Part was fine and service was cheap. I'll do free next day shipping next time my part/product is over $100 or just do business with another company. This seems mundane but it's the...
Read moreIâve been loyal to this parts store since moving to the area six years ago. Every time I go in for new wipers for my Volkswagen they give me the wrong ones resulting in multiple back and forths to auto zone. I made sure to decline the help getting a replacement rear wiper in late December, as I knew what I needed prior to going in the store. Being a female, the male cashier questioned my decision and decided to confirm I had the correct wiper. He insisted I had the incorrect wiper and grabbed what he told me was the correct rear wiper for my make and model. I doubted this but trusted them again. Of course I get home and this is the wrong freaking clip for my wipers for the millionth time from these guys. I knew it but the misogynistic employees couldnât trust me to get my own wiper. A month later I went in to exchange my wiper for the correct one but there was an oil stain on the receipt and no manager present to override the exchange because the barcode wouldnât scan. My husband made multiple attempts to catch a manager at this store within the 90 day return window but there was never one present. We rush to get to the store before 5 today to find a manager and take care of this finally but the same old, bald guy with a mustache that told us to come back when a manager is present was short and rude when he firmly told us we couldnât not exchange the unopened wiper any longer. He talked to me with a condescending tone and insisted no auto zone would take the wiper. Laughably the next closest location exchanged the wiper for me twenty minutes later. I highly recommend any of the neighboring auto parts store, like advanced who also has much...
Read moreWhat a wonderful experience! 5 Star Service!! On Monday, September 28, 2020, I visited the AutoZone in Clawson Michigan on 14 mile. I was greeted by an employee, a young man named Tony who went over and beyond to help me solve a problem that I was having with my range rover windshield wipers.
Tony listened to my concerns regarding the windshield wiper blades, still on my suv after I replaced the original windshield with a new one, which had left permanent scratch marks on the original windshield, that I recently replaced due to the scratches. Not only did he take the time to come out to my car In The RAIN, but he was also joined by another wonderful employee and young man by the name of Aaron, who also went above and beyond to help me solve the issue that I was having. Tony and Aaron assessed the issue I was having with the windshield wipers, looked up the appropriate windshield wipers in the AutoZone system in attempts to help me find replacement blades so that my new windshield would not be in danger of getting scratched. When they found that no blades were available for my SUV, Aaron suggested a water repellent for my windshield that would allow the rain to be off of the glass, involving less strenuous contact from my wiper blades on the windshield. I know that this was a long explanation but I just want to say I think God for Tony and Aaron because they really helped me today. I hope that when promotions and raises come about that these two young men are first in line to receive them both. Thank you ever so much...
